Make Money Online: How Do You Personally Do It?

Affiliate marketing mixed with blogging is my primary means of income.

The trick is to build an email list in the process.

Everything revolves around your email list and is secondary this includes my blog etc...

Ways of making money: Offering writing services, affiliate marketing (through article marketing).

Ways I intend to make money: Product creation (in its infancy right now, will grow as I have more time).

Failed ways of making money: I never failed on anything I took action on; but did spend a lot of time chasing magic buttons.

Great ideas from all of you. I tried writing some articles on ezinearticles and it does help create authority backlinks even with just a few articles.
Thinking of writing again and also on articlebase.

Other than affiliate marketing with opt-in form for list building, I think amazon is a great way to start as there is a lot of traffic to amazon. Adsense is way too slow and I just insert it to my blogs.

I guess the finale is to have your own product which I'm looking at soon.

I create my own products (eBooks and video series') and sell them.

Simple as that.

Building list, adding value and then promoting valuable products to them.

However, I have found that when it comes to making money online, it is really more about doing really good market and keyword research in the beginning rather than just being the method of doing it.

For example, it is much more difficult to rank and get a lot of traffic in highly competitive areas like make money or weight loss, but if you can find other niches or micro niches, or micro, micro niches, then you will do much better.

Building a list and promoting products is a solid method. It's easy enough in theory but many do it wrong.

Basically I'm a web designer & doing freelancing from odesk dot com.
I'm happy with it.

Affiliate Marketing is where I earned my first $. And now, I am into Product Creation, a lucrative method if we take it right.

I earned my first online money from taking paid surveys.

That was 6-7 years ago. Nowadays, thanks to the warrior forum and the great people here who thought me everything I know about making real money online, I make a comfortable living with my blogs (using adsense, cpa offers and selling advertising space).

My main stream of income online is from creating return on investment for real estate investors.

I have been doing some things in the way of internet marketing and web development as well. I'm starting to get a handle on SEO and getting traffic to my pages.

I dabble a bit in social marketing ... have done quite well with it.

Pretty interesting thread; nice to see all the different methods being employed by other members.

I have found most success with building small Amazon affiliate sites, using keyword-rich domain names and driving traffic through forum posting and social media. I use the Azon theme to build my sites and plugins such as reviewazon to add links to my sites. Checkout Chris Guthrie, he's the dude when it comes to Amazon marketing.

I started writing articles way back when made some commissions. Most of my income now comes from affiliate marketing, product creation and list building.

I've tried many things over the last couple years, not making more than a few hundred bucks total.

This year I've been blessed since a more experience IMer reached out to help me and introduced me to the programs below which I'm making more money than my full-time job at. I was working in a corporate gig and just about 2 months ago quit and am now doing online/offline marketing full-time..it's been amazing!!!

I currently work on consulting with offline businesses and provide them with online marketing services. However, at the same time, new opportunities have popped up ever since I've taken this leap of faith: including an offer to help a friend with an affiliate site he wants to set up, helping fellow Warriors with doing the same thing I am AND I've even gotten corporate job offers (thanks..but no thanks! lol).

Once you've made money online and realize the infinite potential and avenues you can focus on..it's just a totally different lifestyle and eye-opening experience!

The vendor role is great, I had some success as an affiliate but I enjoy writing far more than promoting. I'm not yet sure how much of a success this first project of mine will be though.

I made my first money online writing reviews for companies that were paying $100+ for good ones. I then made a little bit more money with affiliate products on niche blogs. I never made any real money until I got into e commerce. I now own 5 e commerce websites, am almost done building the sixth and make more than double what I ever made at a "real job."

I'd say the worst for me was the affiliate stuff. Too much work for too little return. I made far more per hour spent writing paid product reviews. There are those out there who are successful at affiliate marketing (to what degree, I don't know) but I'll stick to e commerce from now on - where I can sell real products and develop relationships with the customers.

Some people took a long time figuring out what to sell in the internet. Nothing is easy at first, even selling online can give you doubt if you really want to continue. It takes time to be able to get used to it. Just continue what you've started if you really enjoy doing it and you will notice that in no time at all, you are making fast and easy money online.

Iv started selling iphones in ireland bought from America and then unlocked by myself and from there sold , yeah its hard work but i feel its worth the money with little overheads. Affiliate marketing is the simplest!

initially i was earning from Fiverr by offering Facebook Fanpage designs.

now, i have JV with a Fiverr client to create all his client's Fanpage.

Flippa. After trying everything from offline consulting, to lead rental sites, CPA, and Adsense, etc., I finally started making money selling no traffic/no revenue sites on Flippa.

It was the only place I could go from having no money to $300 in 3 days.

Once I scaled it up it has become quite a monthly income.

My favorite way to make money online is residual income affiliate programs that pay out a high commission. It enables me to focus on what I do best (driving traffic & creating high-converting follow-up systems) and lets me avoid the stuff that I don't like to do.

Plus, when you promote residual income affiliate programs (such as monthly membership sites) you have to sell far less product in order to build up your income to a substantial level online.

Would you rather make 200 sales & get a $40 one-time commission, or make 200 sales and have a $40 recurring commission (month after month).

I'd prefer the 8k/month recurring income

The best way to make money online
in my opinion is to build an email list
and market your products via email marketing.
I have tried various ways but my highest recommendation
is still to have your own mailing list.

Regarding the magic potion... there isn't one and it'd be silly to assume anyone here knows what's best for you or any possible lurkers on this board. Spend an hour or two talking to me on the phone... about your family, morals, talents, hobbies, etc. Then "maybe" (and only maybe) I can give you an educated guess as to what is the best business to get into. My primary business model I guarantee you isn't best for 80% of the people here, and the skill-set I offer most here wouldn't even understand (some has to do with RF satellite testing for companies like Space Systems Loral, Lockheed Martin, Orbital, etc.). But that's the point. I wouldn't expect someone to model me, and you shouldn't expect to model someone else and expect their results.

There are many different "ways" to make money, as this thread shows. But that really is irrelevant. You need to make a BUSINESS. Find out what works for you, what you're good at. If everyone here said article marketing was the easiest and best way to make money online... and you weren't a native English speaker... would becoming an article writer be appropriate for you? Of course not. That's silly.

So look for what you're good at... what you can offer others as a business. The money will naturally come after you've setup this line of thinking. If you're only seeking "damn how can I get money" everyone will see that (especially your would-be possible customers). Instead say to yourself "what can I offer people? What am I good at?" Then look at marketing that talent/product/offer.

The best way to make money online for me is by doing surveys and by promoting clickbank products. With surveys you can earn money right away but with clickbank products it may take some time but the results you will get at the end is out of this world. if you do it right!

Building the list, the money is in the list so this is what I am spending my attention on right now follow up with email marketing and hopeullfy the $$ will come.

I dabbled in internet marketing, but never had the patience to see it through. I started writing articles, and eventually hired others to write for me - a few years down the line and I have turned it into a very profitable company.

These days with my company on it's feet I have been thinking of a second avenue for income and am considering:

I have been making some money doing affiliate sites for Amazon products. However I have now just started Dean Hollands challenge on starting a real online business - don't know yet how I will be making money.... :-)

I DON'T make any money online

I provide article/copy writing services online and offline as well.

All the money I make is now being invested In making a small army of (authority) niche affiliate sites to which I will get traffic via SEO and article syndication.

My advice to anyone who is staring out would be --- Don't poke your head into the IM niche for a good year. Just pick one method and stick to it till you get it right!

I make money via Micro Niche Sites which are monetized via CPA and Adsense. It is good to get money that fast. But for ranking it, it takes some time.

Adsense and Affilate Marketing

I wish I had figured out the affiliate marketing through email marketing a long time ago. I spent a lot of time trying to build ranking amazon review sites - and writing reviews about products is extremely boring in my opinion.

Now I make money through my email mailing list, and for any newcomers out there this is the way to go if you want to build your online business.

It's great that you only need a one page website to get people to join your list, it really cuts down the workload from normal amazon affiliate review sites.

You do have to put in the work for the free incentives though, and that is where most of the work comes in. Until you have to start driving traffic...

Personally you have to really invest some money to make money, you need to stay focused, and not give up just bc you do not see any results in days or even weeks. Find a great nich, do all of your research and create a product. however you can also outsource your work through many website and pay someone to do all the work for you.

For the moment, I am selling my book and related products. Am branching out into affiliate marketing and looking for a couple other niches to make sure of my streams of income.

At one stage early in my career when my online income wasn't consistent, I was part of a business grant program run by the Australian government designed to assist entrepreneurs with money to pay for life's necessities so you can focus on growing your business. The idea is that when your business is successful you will eventually hire people and pay taxes, thus the government reaps a return on the investment.

You are helping them, and making them crave more. When peter goes away and does what you say, and it is helping him quit, and he sees results or getting him closer to quitting he will remember you and probably come back wanting more...or asking for more.
