Beginning to think it might be a fluke

Last week I posted a thread about getting sales on click bank.
I set up the campaign about 10 days ago and got a sale and upsale 3 days later
Then on Monday I got another sale

2-3 sales in a week I thought I was on to a winner
But no sales since then

I am sending PPC traffic to the offer and around 20 people a day
What do you reckon I should do
Keep going or leave it

I am about at the break even point now

Thanks

Which PPC network are you using?

    Hiya mate!

You obviously have a product people want and are willing to spend on, maybe you should considering rewriting your copy to improve your conversion rates? Possibly use other forms of marketing as you may not be getting completely targeted traffic so you might be wasting precious clicks on people who are not at all interesting.. who knows!

A good start though and I congratulate you, the start is all about trial and error, finding out what does and doesn't work for you is key, mistakes are inevitable, it's whether you learn from them that's important!

PPC can be expensive if you don't do it right, maybe you could educate yourself a bit more on how to use it more effectively, this might give you more targeted traffic, so your conversion rate is likely to increase..

    All the best my friend,

    Rob

This should be the right mindset in this business when you are just starting. Yes, there will be a first sale or second sale, but the journey does not end there. Definitely, the next succeeding sales will test your patience and endurance in doing the works. I have a similar experience, though mine is being an amazon affiliate. I had my first sale but it took sometime for the next one and the succeeding one. So I tend to call it a fluke. But steady sale will eventually happen for sure.

I would like to think it this way if you are really doing your work.

first hurdle - the first sale
second hurdle -- the succeeding sales
      third hurdle -- steady sales

in-between these stages, there will sure to be a lot of frustration and disappointment. but that will pass the moment you get your next sale. :-)

Espresso, don't give up yet! There's a lot to learn in IM. Do some tweaking and testing to determine what works and what doesn't. Consider it a learning process that will pay off over time.

        Thanks
as i said I just need another sale to get a boost
My CTR is good average 1.2% with the top tem getting 3.1% (was 6% last week)

I am thinking of removing low performance KWs to move more cash to higher performing ones

What you have done is great and as others have said above, take all the information from it you can! What time of day did you get sales, what day of the week, buyers location, time of the month/year! all this data needs collecting, including times of no sales, try changing copy as suggested above or try a different campaign!
You need to really concentrate on your sales, and study all the demographics of them you can and most importantly make notes. Keep doing this over and over with different copy and different campaigns and eventually you will crack the code of what works and what doesnt.

You might have been lucky on those sales. Not many people manage to make a profit with CB, using ppc traffic. Personally I'd back off and use free traffic until I had a good idea of conversion rates.

But that's just me. You might have a lot more money to play with, and you might learn faster with paid traffic.

I suggest you setup a page that captures your visitors' emails before sending them to the vendor's page. This way you can still have the opportunity of presenting them with the product severally without paying another dime.

However, note that you will need to setup a script that will automatically redirect them to the sales page should they decide to leave without giving you their details. This will increase you chances of success greatly.

Geeze! I am so surprised nobody suggested this. Thanks man for saving the day. I now know why I didn't get much response about my information marketing thread.

No sales yesterday but still hopful this new product will sell
45 hops in total and 2 sales

The list thinh wont work with this
Its a very particular product and I wouldmt be able to send an email series over
Its like people wanting to buy bird cages and googles "green bird cages for sale"

i might as well just send them to the sales page if they aint going to buy now they aont going to buy in a week from me

I might later create my own products and sell them but that is later down the line
I will keep at it for now

I am happy with my CTR rate which is at about 1.6%
I may try more media buys
Any one know a good company that has buyer traffic

Some gurus say they start in paid traffic with 5 bucks... And I say that's BS.

If you're only running 20 visitors per day to your site then it's going to take you until Christmas to get a winning campaign.

    To all those you care....

    Some good news
I was just losing money with the campaign so decided to changed things around
I found another product in the same micro niche but cheaper and decided to send traffic to that offer instead

Guess what it converts...made 2 sales yesterday out of 22 hops
    so about 10% conversion
Dont expect to maintain that but its a good start and has given me a boost

I am currently at about the break even point after making NO sales last week
but hopefully this will do well
i have another product researched and ready to go too so once I am back in the black I may start to promote that

The sales also mean I will be paid by click bank next time they send out cheques.

I wouldn't give up. And i think this is the natural process of the internet business world. Continue doing advertising (hopefully on Adwords or Microsoft Adcenter), and on high traffic websites and blogs. Consider implement a good free marketing campaign also. You want to promote yourself everywhere in the simplest ways as possible.
