That's a great tip Paul and jjmacky if you stick to a daily routine of checking your stats you will feel more fulfilled, rather than checking haphazardly and hoping it has gone up since last time

    jmack,
    I am an Analytics junkie!

Those tri-color pie charts and line graphs just do it for me, bro.

Be patient ! I recommend you use the time to write more articles rather than checking them and worry if you are making sale or not. Write more and sale will come to you

      I'm agree with you, Winson.

Yeah I got same problem with you, jjmacky. First time I at IM and become affiliate marketer, I awlays check my email and acc Paypal or Liberty after I post an article, ads, even comment about product that I promote.

Just do your promotion strategy and make great traffic, you will generate sales someday. Take Action. Focus. Patient. Of course Pray

Hi, my name is Allen, and I am a statistics addict.

I'm addicted. I look at my stats at least 2-3 hours every single day, split between morning and an afternoon fix...even on weekends and holidays.

You can learn so much by studying your stats - I don't mean just looking at the graphs, I mean really studying things. But I guess that's better left for another thread. LOL

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

I'm a converted stats junkie.. I have set aside an hour and a half each day to check and analyse the data that I get from my vital stats dash...

Any more than that and I soon become VERY unproductive. I have found that if I spend less time checking and more time acting on visible trends, I make much more money from those things that trend...

    Peace

Listen to what Jay says here! I said that I study my stats for 3 hours a day - but that's what I have to do for my particular business.

If you are running a few websites, blogs and/or affiliate sites, or you only get a few hundred hits a day, then any more than an hour or so would most likely be a waste of time.

Me too! I check my email to see if I get a "sales notification" constantly, even at my regular job! I know, I know... shame on me. =) I really need to work on that. LOL

Haha, good stuff. I literally laughed out loud at Allens post! Another question for you experts. When your article goes live on ezine, I noticed the first couple days you get a decent flow of traffic. The last day and a half, none at all. Is that typical? Is it pretty much one and done with an article as far as traffic goes?

This is due to the fact that it gets published on the EZA homepage when it first goes live, and then drops off this page when more are published

      BUT!

This is FAR from done with an article....

A well structured article, keywords, LSI consideration will get MUCH more traffic from the search engines in the long run...

I love to check my stats too, but if not careful, I could make a whole day of it! Plus it becomes a habit if you check your stats everytime you pause in the work you're doing.

Yes, it's a good idea to schedule the time so you don't go overboard.

Another thing you could try is telling yourself you need to write 3 articles first, then you can check you stats.

I'm also a stats junkie. And I get to check it like, every two hours.
Maybe I should try to refrain myself and get some work done for the hours I spent on it. Sales will eventually come. If not then... let's be more optimistic, it will.

      Cheers,
      Rafael
