They said give first :)

I have read in quite a few places that once you start focusing on giving you will get it back. Let me start doing something on those lines.

I am currently rich in time. So let me start out by giving what I have. I will write two articles(500 words each) on the topic you choose and give it away for freeh. Real free - you don't even need to give feedback if you choose not to

All you need to do is give me very specific details the topic and specifics The more specific your request is the more likely I am going to pick it up

Thanks in advance.

    Great start.

Here's where the REAL magic begins - when you stop even thinking about
"getting it back", and enjoying the process of "giving" itself.

A blog post I refer back to very often helps explain this concept far better
than I can even try to - it's by Derek Sivers, founder of CDbaby.com

This is pretty cool idea, good luck.

I agree that when you have something you need to give it away because when it comes back to you it will be bigger and better each and every time

@drmani - Derek sivers is one of the coolest persons I have met. I had a 10 mail conversation with him. At the time I started writing to him I did not know his credentials(dint know he made a TED talk already). More over he does not show off at all so it is hard to guess that he has done so much I just had a different opinion to what he said and I mailed it to him. Let me post the summary of email discussion with him.

I had an email conversation with Derek and he gave some really practical and useful advice. I have been forwarding it to a few friends of mine. The only response I get is "why did nt you forward it to me a little earlier?". I have decided to put in facebook and dump it on you guys so that I will no longer get such a response.

Bio of Derek: Created CD Baby which is the largest seller of independent music, published a book(best seller in its category), frequent speaker at TED.

That was just to make sure you pay attention when you read. I did not know all the credentials of Derek when I was conversing with him. Later I checked

    Happiness:
    I quote:
"If you haven't read it yet. I highly recommend the book "Stumbling on Happiness" - by Daniel Gilbert
This book changed my life. See my notes here: Stumbling on Happiness - by Daniel Gilbert | Derek Sivers

Brilliant Harvard psychology professor has studied happiness for decades, and shares his surprising factual findings. The profound lesson is this: You are bad at predicting what will make you happy. We all are. You make huge decisions in life like where to live or work or what to buy, based on mistaken thinking. We think a big house will make us happy, but people in big houses are often less happy, and people with long commutes are the unhappiest of all. We think an upgraded item (new sunglasses, car, computer) will make us happy because in the moment we're comparing it to our current one. But as soon as we upgrade, the comparison to the previous one disappears, and we realize it was only the comparison that made us happy. The new norm does not. Imagine a whole book filled with factual findings on what actually does make most people happy, what doesn't, and proof that you're not as different from most people as you think. This had a profound impact on the decisions I've made in my life since.

In my opinion if we learn and apply the ways of personal happiness, and empathy with others. It seems if you focus on those two things, plus actually doing something of value to others, then everything else falls into place."

    Success:
    I quote again:
"As for online business - Much of success is luck. What the public loves will usually be a surprise. So do many things, giving each one 100%, but if the public just isn't excited about it, walk away and do something completely different. Knowing this in advance, your first step should be to just do anything useful to others, realizing it's just the first of your many endeavors and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Ask, "What can I do that will really add a TON of value to people's lives?" or "What would be so damn helpful that people's jaws would drop?"

Or if you're still unsure, go meet in person with a few of your target people, and ask them what would massively change their lives. Then see if you can make that happen.
    Example: Seth's Blog: First, ten

Remember that it's not just creating a business or doing what you love - it's finding that intersection of what you love and what people seem very willing to pay for. See If it's not a hit, switch on Vimeo I did lots of stuff that was "doing what I love", but it took 12 years of experimentation to find the thing that I loved to do AND people really wanted to pay for.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have experimented faster, tried more different things. So, that's my advice to you. Change your business *weekly*, if that's what it takes, until you find an offering or service or product that really seems to resonate with people.

My note: The video talks about Managing demand Vs Creating Demand. It is really an eye opener if you did not already know.

It might not look very impressive until you watch. But once you watch you will be surprised at what can projected in 3 mins. Here is another attention grabber: He used it at one of the TED speeches and got a standing ovation.

Ok. I am going to stop here. There is a lot to stumble upon on his site/blog. Please go ahead!

Wow this is inspiring... Yeah we should all develop the habit of giving... But sometimes when you offer something for free, some people will still suspect your motive...

I am in India. I do know the general conditions in which they work. Only the uneducated people end up becoming truck drivers usually. It was quite a shock for me to see how well furnished the truck drivers are in US when I visited US.

Here goes the first article subject "Truck drivers in India".

One more article left for grabs

    Yes.Agree.
    But be careful.
    Giving can be tricky.
Just give what the customers really need because giving freebies that they do not need will create an unsubscribe

Wow, what a great offer but may I ask - would you expect something in return? Unfortunately nothing's for free nowadays

@ravi13efw - It is simple you dont have to give anything in return. If you want to give something I am not going to stop you from doing that. No tags.

Damn it guys! It is just two articles that I am giving. I am not sharing a fortune or something!

I think that is an awesome thing you are doing! It is true. When you give to others, you ALWAYS get it back ten-fold in ways you sometimes can't even imagine! (most of the time in ways you can't imagine). I believe it is God's laws of universal reciprocity, personally. Thanks fo rsharing! :p
