Warrior for Hire ads - is that normal? What should I do?

Hello everybody! I would like to ask an advice from Warriors who use to provide services in the Warrior for Hire section and are more experienced than me.

I've started to promote my video creation service there in late January, and I've had some significant success at the beginning. At the first two bumps (including the initial launch), I've generated 3-4 orders at every bump (some of the orders were for more than one video). In total I've accomplished around 10 projects. All my customers were satisfied (some even delighted) and I had no complaint.

However, at the next two bumps (3rd and 4th) - no order... Only one inquiry, without concrete results. I did spot the primary cause - the number of my thread views plummeted seriously. But I cannot see the reason why.

I am a bit confused, because I was expecting the things would go better and better. After the first two bumps I've improved my copy, added more testimonials, more samples of my work. So I guess my credibility should be higher now.

Is this a normal pattern or maybe a fluke? What should I do now, before the next bump? Change the thread subject and body?... I must confessed that I'm stuck.

I hope some experienced people here would have some good advice for me. Or at least a word of encouragement, I need it.

Thank you!

Bogdan

How is your price? Is it too high?

Check your price and compare with other websites like Fiverr. Usually people outsources videos from Fiverr.

If you can make your price lower than Fiverr sellers that are selling services like your, you'll probably make much more sales in my opinion. Just put a "comparison" table in your sales page so everyone can see your services are cheaper than Fiverr.

Cheaper than Fiverr? Why not just get a job at McDonald's, you'd make more money that way.

Thank you, Dan, that's exactly what I wanted to say myself.

My prices are not very low, but not very high either. And my customers said the price is worth it.

I'm asking just out of curiosity. Why don't you put a link to your ad in your signature?

Good question. I have disabled my signature for now, because I wouldn't want to be suspected of disguised promotion for my service.

It swings in roundabouts that sub-forum.

Some bumps and you'll be rushed off your feet, more inquiries coming in than you can possibly handle then other weeks it's goes as quiet as can be.

On the last two bumps similarly, I've only received a couple of inquiries, before this it was at least a dozen a day.

It's just how it is. No point over analyzing it the reasons why. It'll soon pick up again.

Actually, I've noticed I never receive an email whilst my thread is on page 1 in that sub-forum. The inquiries always come in when my offer is on page 2 for some reason. Go figure.

Very funny. That's exactly what I've noticed too.

I agree with you, maybe it's just how it is. Hopefully it would pick up again soon. Thank you, Mark.

All sales cycles experience ebb and flow. I wouldn't worry just yet. Sometimes it's just a fluke other times your bump may be competing with something else.
Make note of when you bump (time of day, day of week, day of month) and you'll figure out the most profitable time to bump your ad.
