As to date I haven't made a dime with clickbank and adsense isn't doing that well either, total of 19 bucks or so. I am getting somewhat depressed. My lack of knowledge definitely keeps me in neutral. My email is flooded with IM pitches that it makes me sick to my stomach. I just need someone to teach a broke cripple how to make money online without saying purchase this and I will show you.

Im still working on my fiverr gigs, but they have slowed down.

  • I see you are active user in warrior forum and by the time you should know at least how click bank works..

You should know that by now you need to pick a clickbank product and start promoting. I think I know your problem, you are not stick with one product, I think you want to promote plenty of product in the same time.

If you know how to pick a product and make a website than I suggest you to stick with one product for one month and than move to second one.

Basically this is the way to make money from clickbank, by building website and ranking in search engine or building email list or by giving away free offer or promote in facebook.. I hope this helps..

    • My problem is how do I promote using a link. Only thing I know about affiliate marketing is sticking an ad in a wordpress widget and hope someone clicks it.

I am kind of from a reseller mindset, like drop shipping.

      :p

@OP: According to your Fiverr profile you have been working with SEO since '99. The way forward would seem pretty simple then to start off. Build a website around your niche, a list to sell to your customers on, and rank that sucker.

As soon as you can though look into diversifying traffic methods. Relying 100% on Google is not the way to go; but since it seems to be all you know it would be better to start with that then nothing.

  • The best thing to do is not get stuck on going from offer to offer. Do a lot of research on this forum and take the best advice (which most is free) and stick with one method. Master that method and don't get distracted. Take action and more action always.

    I suggest starting here: http://www.warriorforum.com/make-mon...ms-2012-a.html

    Good article with great information.
  • Here's a blog post I wrote about Clickbank marketing, hopefully it will open your eyes a bit!

Clickbank Tips: How to Make Money with Clickbank | ProsperWithTess.com

To be successful with Clickbank, you will need to believe in your product, use it yourself and be able to honestly promote it to those with a need for a solution. "Soft" selling is best, rather than sending your visitors straight to the vendor's sales page.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • First of all I would say ignore all the IM pitches. 99% of them don't even have a clue how to make money other than to sell you a product about making money that doesn't work. If you want to make money with Clickbank or any other type of affiliate/Internet marketing, you can pretty much find all the information you need for free by using the search button at the top of the page. Take it slow and make sure you understand everything and don't go into information overload which is very east to do. There is no magic button, it's a learning curve.

    • So what do I do, take content from the vendors splash page, slap it on my page, throw a call to action button to redirect?

Then promo my page? I would like to know the techniques people are using. I dont know maybe it is overload. If I had my own item, or if I would resell an Item like standard ecommerce I can wrap my head around this a bit more.

  • Here is some tips :
    - Build on same niche based on review site, so you make a "clickbank semi-authority review site"
    - Yes, you ought to know a research keyword, what is suitable to your niche
    - Think about to start list building, get your autoresponder, build list on the same niche, this is looked like slow, but it will be your best investment in the future.

Maybe I can add some later.
  • Find a niche, get a website, create a squeeze page, generate leads, insert your affiliate link into every email (cloaked), then make money. You will need alot of leads though. Whats your traffic strategy like?

Create a free eBook about the niche to give away
Create a squeeze page offering the free ebook
Send traffic to the squeeze page
Capture the lead coming to the squeeze page
Deploy email auto responders with the Clickbank products
Watch the money rack up in your Clickbank account

The Money Is In The List

Look at all the really big affiliate marketers. Guys like Frank Kern, John Reese, Shoemoney, etc. They all have huge mailing lists. And because they have huge lists, they don’t have to spend hundreds of thousands per month on advertising. John Reese refers to his list as his ATM. He just goes to it whenever he needs to make a withdraw.

If you want to become a big Clickbank affiliate marketer (or blogger), you absolutely need an email list. That is your customer base. Without one, you’ll just be another hit and run affiliate marketer working for peanuts. Stop building other people’s customer base and start building your own.

    • This is the first sensible post in this thread I came across. Good work Sarah.

And to the OP of this thread... this is a business so sit down and plan accordingly. Most people have the "quick cash" mentality and end up spinning their wheels on useless functions.

Re-read what Sarah has posted and you'll realize this is a business, so start looking at it as a business, make a plan (Sarah just gave you one) and go to work.

You may not know how to do all of the technical things but that's what YouTube and Google are for. Search for what exactly you want to do, for example setting up a squeeze page, and voila you'll see how on YouTube... Tons of useful instructions on there.

So, like I said go back and read what Sarah outlined and get busy
  • Making money with clickbank products is the same as anywhere else that you would be promoting products as an affiliate.

Drive traffic to an appropriate offer that converts well.

I know this is a drastic over-simplification, but you need to remember, it's the heart of what selling in IM is all about.

What I would do, is not to worry about the offer yet. I would first focus on building a list in a specific niche. Don't let your list get cold while you're building it, I made that mistake when I first started. Keep sending them helpful tips and links from time to time, don't promote offers on every email.

Once you're list is starting to grow, find products that would be helpful to your list. Don't pick offers on what would make you the most money. Focus on HELPING the people on your list. Picking offers that give your list the most help, is what will make you the most money in the long run.

If you need help getting started with list building, there are plenty of threads on here about it. There are also inexpensive WSO's. If you're a member of the war room, I know I've seen a couple good list building ebooks in there for free.

    Good luck!

  • have you tested out driving paid traffic to various offers? List building and them mailing works well too. Plenty of opportunities, but I would recommend you avoid all the stuff you are getting in your email and just do it.

Affiliate marketing is not just "about hoping someone clicks on it". You need to be pro-active in your approach with everything, otherwise you will get nowhere. The "hoping" someone clicks on it is not pro-active. Hell make some Youtube videos and spend all day using onlywire to syndicate a site to all the social networks. Then start pushing hard on twitter & FB. That's how you get around the "hoping" part... you make them.
  • Chris,
Keep your head up! Being an affiliate isn't easy it takes planning, prep and tracking. I am wondering how are you getting traffic to you sites? What methods are you using? How big is your list? Who are you selling to! Remember to treat this like your business..... Because this is your business. There are so many ways to create a flow you just have to keep at it and find out what does and doesn't work. Don't get stuck on the not succeeding at this point. Focus on the learning part of it because if you remember what hasn't worked you won't waste time trying it again. There is a way for you to get there. Just keep with it.

    • Well I found a product to promote. Actually something I can relate too and believe in. It is just the presentation of it all, the content, and getting them to click and buy. I was thinking of SEOing the heck out of it but also do a bit of ppc to throttle it. k, all I can do is do some brainstorming. see if i can write some content which I'm just a novice.

Anyways all thanks for the advice. I guess the best practice is discipline and fortitude.
  • What people normally do when promoting a affiliate product is do some keyword research to find a low competition, high traffic keyword, then create a blog and write a 500+ article/review then do some SEO to get it ranked.

That's an overview of how it is done.

  • Excellent thread! I'm not promoting someone else's product I have an illustrated childrens book and a technical ebook on crowdfunding. I'm going to offer those up for people to promote via clickbank. I figure building a list and providing content is the key.

    • Hi,

So when I read your posts, it is not possible to make good money every month with promote cb products without have a email list?

Does building micro niche sites not work with cb products (without list)?

Many affiliates makes good money every month with amazon or squidoo and they not have a list nad they have lot of such sites.....

      Say 50 niche sites, 30 of them makes $150 every month= "$4500
is that no possible? $150= 3 sales with $50 commission every month, come on people, makes 3 sales in a month you don't need a list to make 3 sales-or you need?

Why I need a list especial to promote cb products-are most people not trust cb products wehen they see it on a website?

      best wishes

  • Different people with different techniques. One technique works for a person doesn't mean that apply to you.

Yet, here's my technique to make money with ClickBank. I do actually not earn much with ClickBank as I am not so comfortable with the majority of the products there but some products are well worth promoting.

    - I created a blog based on my interest and experience and gathered audiences through various methods such as engaged through various related forum in my niche, interacted in the question and answer sites, built relationship with bloggers in my niche and did guest blogging, made some valuable comments to the popular articles in my niche, doing article/video/document marketing, as well as SEO and social marketing.

    - With qualification and trust from various sources of audiences, I could obtain many visitors as well as increased the list.

    - I didn't fond of ClickBank products but some products were ticked me. Because I bought it and read to see if it's valuable enough to pass to my audience, it was really help and gained much success of commission.

Everything won't be working out of the box, so I think you must do some exercises to be able to gain the value from it in this online marketing world.

If you're good at SEO, why don't you use that skill to serve yourself rather than server others. And, just to make sure that you don't just rely on SEO for you only one source of traffic.
  • There are a lot of different ways to promote links and make money with Clickbank. It would be best if you invest some money into building a website but it's not essential. You could try promoting them on social network sites, although its hard to get good conversions from this. HubPages and Squidoo still works, so you could write an honest, quality review on the product on there and include an affiliate link.
