Hi Guys

After moving back to my parents after splitting from my girlfriend, I have two avenue's that I cannot decide on, with $1000 available per month for investing

1. Create a fitness/weight loss ebook as myself and my family are into exercise, weight training .. the trouble being we are normal.. and not of this ripped ab kind of guys but we are stronger than our friends.

2. Lead Generation .. home improvements and go from there

Which would you choose and why?

Many Thanks

Bob

You're not really giving much information away here Bob. If you have a passion for weight training then you can easily create a killer ebook to either sell, or to build a list with. What are your goals here? With $1000 a month to spend on advertising you can easily build a large email list and make a lot of money, but you need to define what EXACTLY you want to achieve.

You can create a killer 7 day video training course and give it away for FREE to build a massive list. This is easily achieved with $1000 each month to spend.
You can also create that ebook and sell it to your list providing your video course is quality.

Your goals need to be a hell of a lot clearer. You can learn what a sales funnel is and create a range of products within a particular niche to market to your list.

You might want to create a killer ebook on weight training and sell it outright through various channels. With $1000 a month you can outsource a lot of this content.

Because your questions are too broad, in order for someone to give you the right answer, they would have to list off all the avenues and possibilities available to you. But, without your specific goals in mind, they would be wasting their time.

Define exactly what you want to achieve and then get to work learning how to implement certain strategies that will help you achieve those goals.

      Hello

Many Thanks for your reply, very long so very much appreciate the time you spent replying

I didn't want to put to much information down incase I bored people lol

Basically, I am 37 and been in the day job for 11 years, and know.. noway do I want to do this until I retire.

So , as I am in the UK then £3000 a month would be an excellent goal.

Great ideas you gave, so many thanks for that. What was putting me off the ebook and video front was the lack of abs like you see on the top ebook's like truthaboutabs, burnthefat and so forth..

Although, I believe though that the everyday person looking to lose weight won't want to look like that, that's my view anyway but it still made me think.. should I as I am toned but not ripped

To begin with, I too second the fact that you should focus on building a list.

That way - whenever you do have a paid product or offer up for grabs, you will always have some amount of "warm" traffic from your list looking forward to purchasing well in advance.

From thereon - EMail Marketing with Value and Money Emails well spaced out, will take you further on its own.

    Cheers and All the Best

Excellent, thankyou. I will forget about the home improvement lead generation then, as that structure would leave me with no list (as the lead details would automatically goto the lead paying company)

Myself and my brothers have so much information, we could write content until the cows come home so love the idea of creating a large list, even if it meant a loss at first

      Thanks Guys )))))

I worked in the weight loss industry for a few years. Most of the money is made January-May. I would make free reports, site and build a list in that niche and hit it hard beginning in December.

As far as home improvement lead generation. I knew someone making quite a bit generating leads for contractors by telemarketing and voicemail broadcasts following storms around the country. The rules about consumer voicemail broadcasts state that it can only be for a public service not sales. He justified it by not pitching initially He only offered info until it was a warm lead. Not sure about that. Anyway, contractors do need lead generation.

      Thankyou

Sounds like the right time to start building that list then as we are nearly half way through the year already

Very much appreciate the input you have all given, definatly glad I asked!

If you're good at writing, consider publishing articles in health/fitness/weightloss ezines and offline magazines. It would be to your advantage to not only tie in your offer with the coming Olympics, but start submitting articles as soon as you can. Most offline magazines have publication lead times of 4-8 months, so take this into consideration for coinciding with the general peak buying season.
