Here's a brilliant opportunity for viral traffic.

One of my favorite webcomics just released a new comic entitled "Every Major's Terrible". (http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/every_majors_terrible.png)

Currently there is someone on YouTube who has given this song a crack. He's not very good. The opportunistic warrior only needs to get a better performer to sing this song and post that video on YouTube. The chance of this being viral should be greater as we are currently on the cusp of graduation season here in the US.

That could take off. When I read that yesterday, I was running the music through my head.

To make this a bit more topical, how would you apply the same idea (piggybacking on popular niche media) to create other viral possibilities?

PS: If you like XKCD, you should also also check out "The Doghouse Diaries."

In terms of extending this to other events / topics, it's a matter of presenting the same information in a different medium.

This XKCD case is very unique in that they have given a set of lyrics, and an existing song (same information). All it is lacking is an actual recording (different medium).

I like it. Catchy little song.

Just wondered why didn't you try what you said for another warrior to do? Why share it on here, when you could have done it yourself?

I'm not having a go or anything, I was just curious.
