Viral Marketing hits Star Wars [Video]

Ok. I admit it. I'm a die-hard Star Wars fan. I go crazy with anything related to this.

Hence, I really like the video below (not all will like it) which I found after poking around YouTube.

>>> Viral Marketing and Star Wars

Anyway, the main learning point that I got from this video was that although Viral Marketing is not new, the impact is great.

The guys who posted this video since Aug 2008 got in total 72,060 views as of my last check today. This works out to an average of 400 views per day! Imagine what they would get if they can monetize those views. And all these traffic are free and growing virally. Imagine what this will do for your own website if you can achieve the same results. I would be pleased myself.

Anyway, if you think the above traffic are great, read the post on my blog below on another Star Wars videos that got more than 9.5 million views. The Force is definitely with them.

--- Note: I have removed the link to my blog post on Riding On YouTube For Traffic ---

The main key points from that Mar 07 blog post are as follow:
- Find a hungry market
- Deliver quality videos ... recurrently (not one-shot)
- Riding on the YouTube viral channel for traffic to generate traffic back to the site

The guys in that video series did so successfully that they quit their jobs and negotiate a contract with a major media company. They have also been in meetings with NBC and Cartoon Network executives to pitch ideas. In short, they were able to open up more doors to the Big Boys after this success of their YouTube videos series.

Btw, they just released Season 2 of that same series just last month.

Image how much money Lucas could get for copyright violation.

Way to pimp your site and redirect forum traffic.

Why not just tell us the basics of your blog post?

Maybe because then we wouldnt click your affiliate links or buy your outdated MRR product that sells for pennies and given away?

    Hey Garrie,

    woo ... Hold the fire.

That's not my intention. The previous blog post was done way back in Mar 2007. Hence, the product you seen on that post would be outdated by now (almost 2 years ago).

I included that link since it was related and I didn't want to repeat the whole story again. Besides, that post also gave links to all the videos in the other Star War viral videos series. One of my members who saw that post in 2007 told me he's doing something similar as well.

Anyway if it offends anyone, I have removed that link and have updated the first post in this thread to include the main points from my blog post.

Sorry guys, you can still PM me if you want to see those other videos. Or alternatively just search for them in YouTube.

    Hopes this clarify.
