Are PLR resells still a good method for making money?

As in, buying PLR packs to be able to resell them, perhaps on your own website? It has potential, but it's like a definite not overnight thing. You have to build a reputation. Only sell the best of content through your site, not junk. Figure out a way to build a relationship with the people that visit your site, specifically buyers.

A lot of PLR does not allow you to resell it. Make sure you check the rights before doing that.

It can be if you create your own PLR content and then resell them.

You can make a lot of money with PLR Products if you do it right. Some PLR licenses allow you so resell it as your own and earn 100% profit. Some don't.

You just need to find one that does.

You can make a lot of money from PLR but only if its valuable and you have the authority to resell it or you created the PLR content.....

If you're going to resell it, I recommend either

    1) Having a list, or
    2) Buying a complete package (sales page, report, graphics) and driving traffic to the sales page.

You can resell articles too I guess, but I recommmend reselling report/video courses over articles.

Sorry, it took so long for me to get back here but thanks to all of you. Very helpful answers especially Justin Stowe.

I've tried it in the past but was kind of groping in the dark if you know what I mean. IM is a whole world unto itself and it seems impossible to sort of graduate from the class of learning it all. Of course, it doesn't help me when there's 10,000 different opinions but this thread was helpful. Thanks again.

Make sure you check the rights on any PLR you buy first to see what they allow you to do. I prefer ones with the rights to edit it any way you want.

The method I like most is to put together a package that adds value to the original PLR that you purchased. For example, say you purchased a complete pack with PLR ebook, sales page, giveaway etc. Rather than just selling it as is, add some value by doing things like:
    - make videos using the key points in the book
    - make audios of each chapter of the book
    - create a checklist and/or mindmap to help implement what is in the book
    - use some related PLR articles from another store to create an email series that helps sell the book, or for blog posts
    - add images or screenshots to help illustrate points in the book.
    - etc.

You can also just put together your own unique product from PLR by combining related content from several PLR stores. It requires a little more work to make things flow, but it also gives you the ability to fill in any gaps or mix different media. For example, one store may sell a great set of slides and a workbook while another may sell a pack of articles or a report on the same topic.

I just wouldn't recommend keeping the content the same. Add value so that you're not one of a hundred or more selling the exact same thing.

    Hope that helps!
