You Won't Believe What This Guy Wants Me to do For Him...Read This Email

I am a copywriter here on the forum, and have had the pleasure to work with some really great entrepreneurs. I believe strongly in doing things with integrity and providing value when creating products, whether for myself or for other people.

But once in awhile I get some people that just make me wince in disgust when I read what they want me to do for them.

Here is a recent email I got from a guy who wants me to write some ebooks for him.

I'm planning to start 10 new info products (short ebooks) sites in next 2 months and to publish them on ClickBank. It can go slower depends of your time.

I saw your ad here about ebook writing and have several question before I choose right person for this project.

All of ebooks will be for non IM (make money online) niches.
I didn't finish research about subjects yet, but some of subjects are "get rid of bad bugs", "man boobs", small health issues, home issues, mold removal...etc..

Basically for each of these subjects you can buy some of ClickBank ebooks, ask for refund (so u get it for free) and then rewrite it. I think it's most easy and fast way for you to create and to still have good value without much research online.

In order to cut costs I would keep size of ebook to 10 to 15 pages. And I think it's enough to cover solution for almost any problem.

Can you please answer on these question:

- are you ok with this? (rewriting clickbank product)
If not, you can do research on your own.

- what is your price for doing 10 to 15 pages ebook?
I can show you some clickbank product where you can order ebook, ask for refund and keep it is reference for writing, but in some cases ebook could be longer then 10 (or 15) pages and you need to keep it in that size because of my budget.

- can I see some of ebooks that you done?

- do you prefer to write in some niches and which?

- did any of your customers publish ebook as product on ClickBank, if yes, may I see URL?

- can you do sales page copywriting (only text without design)?

I feel bad for whoever really has man boob problems or small health issues that actually buys this guys products (if anyone will actually write them for him, Im sure he will find someone. I wished him good luck)

    hahahahaha wow - so YOU get the honor of purchasing the e-books and then re-writing them - wow. I can't believe the lengths some people will go to to NOT do any work....

    I'd be curious to know how much he's willing to pay for each of them. With the 'tactics' this guy is approaching you with, I'm guessing not a whole lot.

    Thanks for sharing this - it's a good reminder of what types of people are out there.

    Of course the real funny part of this is that he thinks getting 10 ebooks written for him with the bucket loads of info squeezed into 15 pages will make him rich!

    I have to admit that I love these people - it means less competition!

    When they actually come down to marketing the guides where the real hard work is they are in for a shock!

    Of course the guy is also endorsing stealing...CRAZY.

    The first step to running a business - TREAT it like a business.

    I wish this guy the best of luck and hope he finds his way before he ends up in trouble!

      This is a considerable percent of who is out there trying to do some marketing 'damage'.

      Every time I see a story like this, I can't help but think of the 2 pickpockets at an crowded event, who end up picking each other's pockets! lol

      The writer he gets (and who wants this kind of client) will see through him and play to his larceny and win his trust...then take him for whatever he can.

      It will end up a "Trifecta From Hell"...the client (deservedly) gets screwed, the writer gets screwed (reputation), and the poor ebook buyers get screwed.

      I'm guessing "nothing" - given the tactics he's advocating for 'research', I'm going to guess theft of services wouldn't be a big deal for him either.

    I have had worse, unfortunately.

    Two years ago, I was asked to write a Nazi propaganda book with the unfortunate name, "Mein Kampf II" Normally I wouldn't reveal a niche that was mentioned to me but this particular dude annoyed me quite a bit.

    After pointing out that I was Jewish the dude was like, "and...is this a problem for you then?" That wasn't just a marketer either, he was the head of a scumbag group in Germany, hoping to use it to further some awful end. Needless to say I declined his opportunity.

    It made me wonder about the origins of the original book, though lol. Whether a ghostwriter with questionable morals could have caused everyone a lot of trouble, as he needed to pad in an extra few thousand words and was feeling particularly resentful of the world.

      I think you missed an opportunity to also take it the other way as a ghostwriter and make things better (while messing up the Nazi's day). Tell a harrowing (previously unknown) story of self discovery and how Hitler learned that he didn't hate the Jews. He hated himself.

      Work that in subtly (so the Nazi's don't notice) and bask in the best kind of trolling there is.

      It was actually published in two volumes, so your prospective German client should have been asking you to write volume three.

      Personally, being Jewish myself, I would have been tempted to write the book and insert various complete garbage arguments to make the group distributing it look like fools. But then, I was raised by bigots, so there's a special place in my heart for any opportunity to exploit their stupidity and make them look even stupider.

      It made me wonder about the origins of the original book, though lol.

        Sounds interesting, do you have any pointers? I never heard of "abusive marketing", I always thought that Hitler manipulated the political system rather than used marketing?

        Also in regards to The Satanic Bible, which from Wikipedia article says things like "Satan represents indulgence, instead of abstinence!" - er... sounds like he is selling the idea based on what people really want but society tells us we shouldn't have, and uses the devil as an excuse

            The fraud and scheme is difficult to read. But, on the other hand, something we know goes on every day at ClickBank.

            ClickBank is known for sky-high refund rates, and ClickBank is known as a haven for thieves stealing ebooks and rewriting them - which ClickBank accepts and sells no matter how much their original client is hurt.

            That is why there are a dozen chicken coop guides on ClickBank.

        True but he was not the type to have ever read it. He just wanted to hit people and build his group bigger. I suspect it would have sold to many others like him that also would not have read it, but waived it in the air enthusiastically.

        The Satanic Bible, along with everything else LaVey ever wrote, is brilliant because it all makes sense no matter how opposed you may be to traditional Satanic ideology. In fact, the very title was simply used to scare those who would hear it and write it off as a result of making the usual assumptions.

    This guy will still be spinning his wheels this time next year. Terrible attitude and will probably be the first one to moan when he gets a refund from any shoddy service he goes on to supply in the future.

    I was reading a piece on how entertainment business (Hollywood) is corrupted by a rotten bunch of vile people with no respect for anything beyond making money. Then I saw this thread. I guess it's no different in marketing business, or in general business.

    Every word in the original mail is... disgusting.

    I'm also surprised by the "man boobs" comments. Don't you guys really know that it's a huge niche?

    and then you wonder why clickbank has so many refunds literally made a few hours after. A disgrace to the owner of the products that have taken the time to put so much effort in writing and researching them only for people like the writer of the email to do this.

      This is simply theft, and I started to wonder what that scammer may be doing with WSOs and other stuff. He's probably selling in the IM niche.
