super-noob article question

I think I've reached a point where not only am I not writing enough articles and submitting them, I have 2 many sites to bolster that way on my own.
Time to consider subcontracting it out!

But I've got one super-noobish question.
Really, I know it must be...

Some of my sites are product-specific (weight loss), some opportunity (Visi Wellness, an MLM) and some home-improvement.

So I find someone to write articles. Sure, I can read examples, etc.

But how do they get the knowledge to write quality articles??
Seriously, I contract with you for 20 articles on Visi Weight Loss. HOW do they know what to write? For a quality article?

Am I missing something so incrediably basic? it seems, if I write enough to get them information, I could just write the articles myself.

THanks in Advance,
Jon

Check the feedback from their previous customers and ask them if they feel comfortable writing on certain topics.

If you hire a cheap writer they're just going to do internet searches or make stuff up.

Real writers know how to do research and will take time to make sure it gets done right. But they aren't cheap.

A good writer will know how to write an article in the topic that you provide them and be able to do the correct kind of research to write the article well for you. As said above, a good writer costs more but is very much worth it.

But that is what I do! I guess it's time to bring the prices down .

Part of this comes down to testing before committing more funds. Look at samples the writer claims are theirs. Try to verify that and assess the quality. Then commission some articles. Review the new articles, are they good enough?

As to how they know WHAT to write, its a good to have them write on topics they like and are very familiar with.

For instance, there are certain topics I can write on all day, and actually make sense.

How many articles do you think you need?
I used to write a whole 2 per week,
and that was more than enough for my
    five niches...

My guess is that what you actually need
is a better way to submit your articles.

Where are you submitting them to now?

They basically do their research. If you're paying them well for their service, they might do more background research on the topic than you do.

A good writer will know how to do the research required for the topic. But if I were you, I wouldn't start with ordering twenty articles. Place a small order for one to five articles and see if you're happy with the results.

This is why writers always win at trivia. We've learned a lot about many, many things. (A few things I could have been happier not knowing. But that's just me.)
