Wordpress And Squeeze Page (One Domain)

I have been researching for a while now and I can't find an answer to my problem.

I am trying to use one domain which is a Wordpress blog, but I want one page to be a squeeze page. I tried creating a folder in the public_html and uploading the files to it but it doesn't appear on the page.

Is there a way to have my blog at the original domain, use the theme I am currently using, and have a squeeze page that is just a squeeze page- i.e. doesn't look like my blog at all?

I don't want to have to pay for a new domain each time I want to create a squeeze page in the same niche. Thanks ahead of time!

Mate, Just put the squeeze pages in Folders.

    yourdomain.com/squeeze1/
    yourdomain.com/squeeze2/ etc etc.

That would be my simple solution.

I was going to say the same thing. This type of thing isn't exactly my forte but I thought this solution would work well.

Either that or you can just upload an HTML file to your root directory e.g.

    yourwebsite.com

    yourwebsite.com/squeezepage.html

... or you could add a subdomain (bla.yourdomain.com), install a new version of wordpress on that subdomain and a new wp theme specifically for squeezepages (like optimizepress). If you only have one squeezepage, upload it to the root directory but if you're planning on multiple squeezepages... try the subdomainthingie

or you could creat a subdomain subdomain.yoursite.com and host it there, but subfolder as proposed above is easier.

Are you typing in the correct address. www. yoursite.com/yourfolder/yourpage.html

Creating a folder outside of your wordpress install and uploading other files ie: A Squeeze page will work.

Also just putting the html file in the root directory like Suzanne suggested is also fine.

I dont have any experience with Optimize Press but have heard good things about it. You can also look more into this. Thesis has some themes also with landing page support.

Other alternative is using www squeezepage com/blog
So, you just install the HTML file in the main public_html, where the squeeze page is hosted. And you make a new folder /blog/ in the cPanel where you install the Wordpress in it for articles with optimized keywords etc.

This is what I do, and "strangely", Google indexed the www squeezepage com higher than the blog -- even when it's not really optimized.

Wow, it has been a long time. I changed my email to my account so didn't see responses.. I thought nobody cared.. HAHA, Thanks you guys are awesome!

I actually figured it out. For some reason, I thought you could just upload the squeeze to a folder with having Wordpress installed at the same time... Thanks for all the comments. OP works great as well!
