Selling with Paypal - Legal Jargon

Guys, Im going to be using Paypal as my payment processor for my most recent product and wanted to ask....is there a resource for webmasters who want to provide information about Paypal onsite?

As in the legal jargon.

For example, Ive had the following section of text on all of my CB sites, and I think it lends itself to building a certain amount of trust.

NOTE: ClickBank sells our products - they are a trusted online retailer specializing in digitally delivered products. Click Bank utilizes the strongest security and anti-fraud features available on the Internet and never stores your financial data on their system! Your credit card data is passed directly to the bank and no one but bank has access to your sensitive information. They are also approved by the Better Business Bureau!

Ive had a bit of a look around Paypals site, but dont see anything like this?

Why don't you contact Paypal directly and ask what you want to ask? I'm sure they'll know more about the legal side of things more than anyone else here.

    Good luck

ClickBank is different because ClickBank is the retailer and you are wholesaling your products to ClickBank. Thus, ClickBank's policies would be used, such as their refund policy.

PayPal is different because they are strictly a payment processor (for themself) and also handle credit card transactions.

Other than marketing statements, such as PayPal is trusted, secure, etc, similar to what you had for ClickBank, and since I assume this is a digital product (so PayPal's buyer protection does not apply), there really isn't anything.

You don't have special terms a customer signs if they use a credit card in a store. (Or, maybe you do? Can't so I know about Australian law.) But PayPal is no different.

You could simply direct someone to PayPal's website for legal disclosures. Be aware, that unlike ClickBank which may keep purchasing information private, PayPal does not. PayPal shares buying information with its parent eBay, and potentially others. This is how some lose their accounts. They buy a product from X via PayPal. X gets on PayPal's blacklist, so everyone who bought from X also gets canned.

    Thanks bro.

I just went with something relatively generic. (Taken from the PP site)

NOTE: Paypal processes our transactions - PayPal, the trusted leader in online payments, enables buyers and businesses to send and receive money online. PayPal has over 100 million member accounts in 190 countries and regions. It's accepted by merchants everywhere, both on and off eBay.

PayPal helps protect your credit card information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is never shared with the merchant.

BTW - Its a physical product

Trying to move away from that rehashed $2 ebook Clickbank garbage.
