2 little known ways to get 10s to 100s of visitors to your site in days!
Here are two strategies I have used in the past to bring tens to hundreds of visitors to my sites. This may/may not work for your niche but it brought some sales for me.
It involves creating apps and posting them on relevant sites:

I created an app that was basically an ebook with tips for my target niche. It was written in Java ME and formatted for smart phones.
Inside I put a call to action that said something like "If you want to discover the secret of how to..." and one of the menu buttons was a link to my site.
I put it under the entertainment section.
Within minutes I had hundreds of people on my site generated by 1000s of downloads of the app.
#2 Microsoft Side Bar Gadget gallery
I created a side bar gadget similar to the app above and forgot all about it - I didn't even realize when it was approved (I hardly use my hotmail account)
It was actually an audio product embedded in a flash player giving tips to my target market.
Then, my business partner at the time called me out of the blue and said - "we've been getting over 300 visitors to our new site for the past few days!"
I told him about the gadget - he admitted he wouldn't have believed it would work if I let him know earlier.
Anyway, the traffic you get using these strategies isn't the best quality. However it's a good way to test out your site, see if everything works.
Don't expect to make a huge amount of money from this. I think the sales that came in were somewhere between $500 - $800 dollars.
Plus it was a couple of years ago - but the traffic still trickles in from those sites.
