Ever appropriate to not spin an article off blog post?

For backlinking purposes. Like if you made a new information post on your website with nice quality. Are there times we shouldnt spin our article post and just leave a simple backlink at the end when submitting to places? Is it only article directories where "spinning" is necessary?

Examples:
  1. ezine
  2. digg

Ezine it seems people do spin because they want to save their good infopost for their website
Digg looks like it shows the persons website and full article when clicked on.

Yea, I'm ranking 2 of my sites purely based on syndicated content from News and Press Release sites, just give a link back to them and you'd be fine.

Yet I'm using those content on web2.0 blogs rather than article directories as many of them require passing copyscape.

Btw, better not re-use the quality post on your blog for backlinking purpose to make 100% sure everything on your site is unique.

    Hope this helps,

Yup. You should avoid spinning every time.

The only type of person who will tell you that spinning is necessary these days are either the person selling spinning software or the person who is sadly misinformed. They're the same type of person you see in the SEO forum screaming about how Panda and Penguin destroyed their business.

Ezine it seems people do spin because they want to save their good infopost for their website.
Except that publishers on Ezine don't want to read spun crap and will never syndicate the work in the first place. Accidental traffic from EZA is highly likely to click away before getting to your resource box too. So "saving the good stuff" did nothing for you.
