My readers HATE paypal...

My readers/prospective clients are not tech savvy and have emailed me numerous times saying they not only don't know how to use PayPal, they don't want to use it!

Is there a way to get a low cost system where customers can use Visa (a name they know and trust) to buy by services?

I came across this, not sure who told me, but you may find it useful.

I know nothing about it but it may be worth your time to check it out if Paypal is such a significant problem for you.

    Hi

They don't need a PayPal account, they can just use their Visa card in the form.

PayPal will process credit card transactions like any other payment processor if they don't have a PayPal account.

It's weird how some people still have no idea what Paypal is or how it works. If you can read, you should be able to see that they accept visa, mastercard, etc. (talking about the readers of course).

You can check out AlertPay (pretty much the same thing, but might "look" more like a credit/debit card facility)

PayPal will accept credit cards as well as their usual member based payments. So tech savy or not you can still use it.

    Just a quick thought,

You want to try and make every aspect of your business as easy and simple as possible, if the customers you are marketing to don't know what paypal is or how it works, then are you really marketing to an audience that will actually pay????

Everyone who has purchased or sent money over the internet knows what paypal is, surely you want to be dealing with an audience that already knows how, what and when to pay you.

I'm not sure what market you are in but if this is proving to be a problem now then why not focus on a market where customers are happily using paypal on a regular basis and cutting down on the potential headaches and problems in the future.

If they don't know of or trust Paypal then it's very unlikely they will know of or trust any other payment processor out there. Paypal is probably one of, if not the biggest, online payment processor.

You can still checkout 2checkout.com but I really wonder how anyone living in the 21st century even in the 3rd world countries should know how to surf the net and not know how to use a payment processor like paypal.

Consider 2CO.com. It might be much easier to use.

If they can't be bothered with PayPal, I'm pretty sure they won't be bothered with any other payment processor.

What about any ecommerce gateway which offers paypal + credit cards? There are tons of them - Regnow, Avangate, ShareIt, etc.
