A lot of the things offed on Fiverr will land you in trouble with Google following the Panda, and more especially Penguin updates.

i agree with this statement, with the new google updates, they have honed in and trying to stop the people spending like $50 a day on that profiles and spamming SEO jobs.

So I would not recommend doing this.

Yeah agree here with AnniePot. It does you no favours to use this method. 99% of the time, the traffic is chinese or definitely east asian way and will return you no profitable results what so ever.

When it comes to getting traffic, you really need to learn to do it yourself because the amount of traffic you get (and how well it converts) seriously impacts how much money you make. If you don't know how to do that, you have no business.

buying traffic is not good, and they are useless, they won't convert into sales.

you should try that second option

This is not true, it depends WHERE you buy your traffic. Buying traffic from google will obviously be different than buying traffic off fiver.

The OP didn't even mention what he does but from his name it looks like he's trying to get business for graphic design.

If I was him, I would start going through horribly made valpak mailers, horribly made websites, and start contacting the business owners with personalized reports and a picture of their website or ad. Do a "report card" on their content. Compare it to effective content, talk about the mistakes in their copy.

Then simply offer your design services, of offer a newsletter where you talk about design and how to make a website convert better, or an ad, or anything a business might use to get business.

I personally don't see why this wouldn't work if you just try.

No one can tell you that, because no one can tell what your site is.

Your signature link is to a dead Fiverr gig. (You definitely need help with your Fiverr gig descriptions, by the bye.)

I would not advise you to use fiverr for traffic or back links as you might get in trouble with Google.

I'vr puchased Twitter Followers, Facebook Likes, and Google +1s. More like social proof boosts rather than a big SEO thing. I got what I paid for, and quickly. No problems with these services.

You can buy flyer gigs on Fiver, that's the best traffic you can get from them.
Send the traffic to a squeeze page ALWAYS.

I don't suggest buying traffic at this time for two reasons:

    1. Its not worth it and not real.
    2. Google will raise an eye brow especially when you have ad sense account.

My most trusted sources of traffic are:

Joint Venture Partners - You have to be sure of the source traffic.

Affiliates - Affiliates sent thousands of visitors a week to my sites.

    Social Networking

When I first started I jumped on one of these traffic gigs on fiverr - I got a couple of thousand hits to a high converting squeeze page in a day...

    How many signed up....1!

These are def a waste of time, learnt my lesson and have never gone back to them.

"Fiver gigs" dictionary definition: = Biggest waste of time and money indeed

Not sure I can agree entirely with the "dictionary definition" I do agree with the fact that the use of Fiverr for most if not all SEO and Serps services are more often than not a waste of time and money, they are often resold giggs from SEO Clerks anyhow.

There have been enough WSO's on how to make money on Fiverr by selling these very same services. Like most IM sites Fiverr has it's Pro's and Cons, some services, I've used for Voice-Overs, Simple Logo designs, amongst others and had great service, but I've done my due diligence

It's just the same as on WF I've bought some great products and some really terrible ones, but I wouldn't say WF is "Biggest waste of time and money indeed" as, on balance I feel WF has given me some great products, the only difference is that now I just check more thoroughly before hitting the buy button.

        Just my 2 cents.

Fiverr gigs will only get you BOT traffic, not actual HUMAN traffic. Don't waste your money on things that won't make you any money.

Wrong, I am selling human traffic on fiverr and so are many others, which I have tried... You should not expect ppc keyword traffic for that price, but there are some decent gigs offering value for money.

Nope.I will never buy traffic because i believe those traffic is not quality and would not bring me conversion rate. I would prefer to paid for banner ads or google ads to get traffic which is much more quality and high conversion rate.

You might give the link/banner exchange section of WF are look. You definitely would get more bang for your buck.
I did one of those fiverr gigs and got 20k in traffic, but a 98% bounce rate and no conversions.
      Much success to you!

It depends how you use these services. There's a few on there which will offer value to your site. I wouldn't go for someone who can promise you TRAFFIC, as like it's already been mentioned it will be useless, untargetted traffic. If you get backlink gigs make sure you get a report and monitor these links, get them indexed etc. I'm not sure how these work now after the recent update but they've benefited a few niche sites of mine in the past. Other than that there's some great people on Fiverr who can offer something else to your website, a video/article review from a guy with a lot of subscribers for $5 sometimes works. If it doesn't, you won't harm your SEO efforts in any way and you've only lost $5.

I personally don't recommend that you buy traffic from any source. As there is very little possibility of target audience in traffic you Buy. Most of traffic that you buy is traffic which don't give you any lead and there is no chance of generating any sale from that

As others probably have said above - you get what you pay for.

99% of the chances are that you will buy random or fake traffic, that has nothing to do with your offer. In other words, it is not targeted traffic.

I use Fiverr (as a buyer) a lot.

The key is to interview a freelancer before you buy a gig - it saves me from making mistakes.

I've experimented with Fiverr to outsource simple things against my better judgement, but traffic generation? I've got two words for you: heck no. It's better to generate your own traffic, have a proven company do it for you (or individual), or to buy your own traffic.

Fivver is best for numbers in Social Media type stuff---but what kind of real traffic can you expect for $5 bucks a gig? Not a good source for traffic

be careful with those fiverr gigs. You have to do your research and always read the reviews for each traffic gig you get on fiverr. sometimes, I also contact the people who are reviewing the gig to see if they're traffic was really good.

Here is my honest answer to your question: If I had a quality fiverr guy (which I do) I would never tell you. Why? because I don't want him bogged down trying to complete gigs for other people, when he could be devoting that time to MY WORK.

Here is my response to your update question: Simply put, NO. Offline promoting for online offers really doesn't work, at least for the majority of people. However there is an exception I suppose. Wannabe big time net marketer, David Dubbs. I think I remember reading somewhere that he had success dropping off business cards at ATM's haha. But other than that one instance, complete waste of time.
