Scratching My head On This Youtube!

Ok Warriors,

I'm scratching my head on how these young hip hop artist that are unsigned can get a video and gain millions of hits in a short time. Who is cooking the book on this youtube campaign. Ok maybe these kids are doing all of the necessary steps to promote these videos online, or maybe there is a machine behind them that spends ton of money helping to create a movement, who knows.

I would like to know who here in this forum is being employeed by these artist and there mangers, just raise your hand. lol I see most of the threads saying that these campaigns take time and I could be missing somthing but when a kid has 3 million hits in 2 months I want to know what kind of budget can buy that. Maybe that song I saw was just that hot but Im not buying it. If anyone here has seen the million view mark on youtube in even in a year span please just raise your hand then send me to the proof.

    Hi, Keywordy,

    That's called going VIRAL!
I.E. - one kid likes it, sends to friends, they like it send to friends, repeat, repeat, repeat -
I don't think it's as much about the marketing as it is about what people want to see. If they like something, they tell others. That's how YouTube has built to the size they are at now.
Think about that concept real seriously if you do videos - what do people REALLY WANT to see?
    That's what gets the views!

    Robert

They usually seed their videos, which means they get there video exposed to an audience that are interested in certain types of videos. Lets say some one has a rap music video, and they share that video with rap music blogs and communities, if the community likes it, they will share it with there friends and so on. Which basically makes their video go viral.

It's called a lot of bought (fake) views.

Then there will be the odd one that goes viral just because it was the right video at the right time. You can't plan these sort of things. The most successful viral videos are almost always those that were never posted for the intention of trying to go viral -- it just happens. The harder you try to manufacture that viral quality the more staged it looks and the less likely it will actually go viral.

One can always simulate fake views.... with a HIGH budget.

There are tons of people offering all sorts of view count services. just google "buy youtube views"

If you want a million views from various IPs its going to cost alot! and you wont get the views all in a day, they will normally breakit into weeks or months giving you xxx amount of views/day

But going viral.. is going to be very hard.

      YT,

thanks for the google key word but from what I see you can buy you tube hits very cheap as low as $1.30 per 1000 this cant be all it takes because there would be so many videos on youtube with over 100000 hits, This cant be that cheap and that easy whats the catch are these companies just selling wolf tickets.

If this is the video you are referring to you are exactly right in saying it is crap. I don't see why people like this stuff no matter what age you are.

Must be a promoter or label. If you do a Google search there is a lot on Chief Keef. Kanye West even recorded one of his songs.
