Bounce Rate effect on Google Rank?

I have few adsense websites that are ranking ok, but they have a pretty high bounce rate on over 85%, due to content (what else...).

My question is this: Do Google take the bounce rate into consideration while ranking my site?

If your site has high bounce rate,it means your conversion rate would not good.Put natural and website relevant contents on your site.Google consider bounce rate factor while giving rank.

Yes, this is one of the factors that Google considers. If you have a high bounce rate for a certain keyword it tells Google that people don't like your page. So why should they rank it?

Yes they also use bounce rate to determine ranking. Higher bounce rate means you are not providing enough information to your visitors. It's like people didn't get what they want when they land to your website.

85% is too high, I never experienced that Make your website easily navigated to lower bounce rate.

GOOD RELEVANT CONTENT is key my friend, bounce rate is a factor in ranking along with many others, but as long as your site is legitimate and you are providing good valuable content your bounce rate should improve, try offering free content maybe to encourage people to stay on longer, and also check google webmasters site to see if your site is ticking all the boxes in terms of optimisation also. Remember google loves good unique content that gets people staying on your website. hope this helps

Here is the official word from Google:

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit content quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.
Now my personal opinion is that using bounce rate as a ranking factor is bollox. It could be forgiven if its a very small factor perhaps, but its not a good indicator on quality, in fact it could be the opposite.

Take for example...I need to know how to change the CSS for wordpress so that it has the font that I like. I search in Google for 'change css font style for wordpress theme X'.

Google then returns the results. One of the results looks good to me. The result links to an inner page 'site.com/how-to-change-css-wordpress'

I click on this link and I find a really well written tutorial with very helpful marked up code examples, images and excellent explanation on how to carry out the task. Its followed by lots of comments where others share tips and help each other. All in all its brilliant. Its so good that I need not go anywhere else, I have found everything I need content wise on one excellent post.

The above would be a 100% bounce.
