Is this a good idea to put my effort into?

Any idea CAN be a good one. What matters is your follow-thru and ability to get new members into the program while keeping the existing ones from leaving.

Any idea that enhance other people's life is always a good idea

Also, when you already have the followers, it's very easy to make money. The monetization is the easiest part. Just look at the big websites that provide free services. They keep the service for free, grow the users/ followers first, and monetize later.

Look also Instagram. They focus to grow the number of users without any form of monetization at all. Still, their company is valued 1 Billion Dollar.

As long as your content is good. Maybe you should offer a few free wso's to take up a mailing list. So that u can notify by email about your upcoming broadcasts. Just an idea

the idea is pretty good, but remember, ideas are a dime a dozen, its really all about execution. content is key, good content will warm up your users to purchase something from you after those skype sessions.

what are your plans for monetization if you dont mind me asking? membership? wso's?

Yeh this depends too much on execution because its not that original of an idea.

I'm also not sure if targeting newbies AND advanced im'ers would be smart. You're only going to be able to hold the attention of one of these groups, so pick one and stick with it. Or go back and forth every week but definitely don't mix advanced lessons with basic lessons imo.

Or merely ask your visitors what they want.

I'm a newb, but if I saw lessons on how to install widgets, I'd probably be gone in 30 seconds. If I saw lessons on cloaking, how to properly set up 3 tier link wheels, or more advanced stuff, even as a NEWB I'd be more attracted to that stuff.

There is far too much basic info already on these forums (I think 90% of the stuff I see is just rehashed/oversimplified bs) so I think there is a bigger need for original/outside the box thinking.

THAT is really what I feel most people have an issue with. Its odd because as big a newbie I think I am, I still tend to be attracted to the most advanced information I can find. MORE THAN ANYTHING, don't be one of those people that shows WHAT to do, but WHY you do it. I watch so many videos on youtube with people explaining internet marketing in a way where I don't learn a single thing.

Saying things like "backlinking can create a lot of traffic. optimizing title tags, headings, images can make it easier for google to find you". But I want to SEE this stuff in action. So what I'm really saying is APPLICATION will always mean more to me than mere INFORMATION.

Aside from that, I say you at least try. Not like it will take a lot of work to get started, and if you build up good following, I'm sure you can eventually sell something to them. =]
