Help with WP website design?

I have the theme loaded up, and some basic banner ads and a crude logo on my page so far. I am now looking to do more with it.

What can I (or better yet, should I) do with the head and footer section of my theme? I am less than a novice with coding, so some plug-n-play options for these areas would be nice.

I am also wondering if their is a plug-in (or whatever) that will allow me to put up a newsletter e-mail opt in banner, widget, or whatever in the side bar just above my banner ads. Is there anything like this out there?

Hell, I'll just give you the link to my site, and maybe some general suggestions for filling it out (minus the actual content...that is on its way) and making it functional and respectable.

I am going to try to download a plug in tonight that will allow me to accept pay pal donations as well.

Wish the greenhorn luck, lol.

Do you know of any good ones that are specific for the WP sidebar?

In the footer I generally put links like home-page, privacy-policy, FTC disclaimer, contact etc. that are required by many affiliate systems. It's very easy to just put the links in the Footer code in the appropriate place.

    1. Wrong forum... don't get surprized if they delete it.
    2. "Designing" with zero coding knowledge - is a nonsense.
    3. Get a theme that looks like you want it - so no need to mess with it.
    4. Instead of the many "whatever"... try to learn the basics of using the tool you have on your hands = WordPress. It does come with a whole user manual (online, it's called the Codex)
    5. Just paste the AR optin form code into a text widget in the sidebar, NO NEED for any plugin for that - whoever says the contrary... is lying!
    6. Try to keep the plugins at minimum!
