Google Will Never Try To Kill IM - Why?

I have heard on numerous occassions that Google is looking to kill IM and affiliate sales but this just is not true. Many of us will be aware that Google has its own affiliate program division with more and more companies signing up by the day.

There is no way on earth Google would sign these companies up and then try to kill affiliate marketing - also remember, these companies are the same companies spending money in other areas of Google.

IM and affiliate selling is changing but it will never die.

    Fellow Warriors,

Google is not killing affiliate marketing. Google is and has been figuratively "killing" affiliate marketers who are abusing the systems to gain exponential traffic.

In the first place, Google is earning through the advertisements. Why would it put an end to its own business then? It's a wrong though that Google is killing affiliate marketing.

    Just my two cents.

Google has thousands of employees who can do the checking. Apart from that, they have kept on improving the algorithmic codes of Google Penguin. Did you hear what happened to BMR? Allegedly, they said that Google emailed webmasters about a warning on the blackhat techniques that they're doing. That resulted to webmasters telling what they were doing and letting Google know where the private networks of BMR were. Perhaps, due to fear, they told everything. Where's BMR now? Gone by the wind.

Google does not have to do all the work 100% on its own. Google needs 1% of the work from 100 webmasters to hit that 100%.

But just like what you said, it's better to be honest on your IM techniques. Take a look at my writing services. I've been running it since 2005 but never did I accept an order that requires me to spin articles. I know that's money but I would rather close my business if all humans on Earth know nothing but spun content.

Some great comments there and the shining light is that if you are honest and upfront about your IM and affiliate sales then you should be ok. The likes of Amazon, etc are so huge that finding "quality products" is not always easy - the duty of IM in this area is to filter the rubbish out, hightlight the bargains and show people where to buy them

This is the way forward - no black hat arts, no sneaky adverts, just giving people what they need. Saving a customer hours looking for a product is a service which all IM should give.
