I have officially made money online!

Hey Warriors,

First I wanna say this was unexpected, but let me tell you how it came about. I have made one of my websites a few weeks back and it was for a clickbank method. Turns out I havent worked on it for awhile now. But one of my friends back then got accepted into google adsense and he created google sites and putted adsense on them. He made $145 dollars all year. Because he hadn't worked on them in forever. I applied for google adsense weeks ago and my application was underreview until I looked into on wednesday. I got accepted yesterday and today I checked it and I made $0.68! I know it aint much but I am doing something right. Here are my stats:

What do you guys suggest me to do now?

Good job. Even $4 or $5 a day adds up with adsense and will still get you a monthly check. Keep up the good work. With adsense, remember, more traffic equals more clicks. Your ads will also begin to get better as you add more content.

good job keep up the hard work. I know the feeling I was checking all my sites a few days ago to see to my surprise a sale made on amazon for a $16 commission. The site has a great domain name not much seo done or recent articles. So I have a lot of work to do on it to make higher conversions.

Nice man.. Hope you make more.

If that's truly your stats, it's only a matter of time until you get banned from Google AdSense. Those stats definitely look unnatural, and Google will notice quickly.

As a couple others have suggested, I would take an honest look at those stats. 6 page views and 9 clicks is VERY suspicious. And please understand that I am not accusing you, ok? My CTR averages 2-3% (I don't do anything to 'maximize' my clickthrough rates). Nobody gets a sustained CTR that is very high. (I don't have a good average for you though, other than my own).

Make sure you avoid clicking your own adsense. Even for "testing" purposes, ok? If you did this by mistake, get in touch with them, and let them know of the 'mistake'. This is seen as click-fraud, and they see it EVERY DAY. If you did one on mistake (or, like me, 4 in a day when I was new and was like "WHOAH!" and amazed that I got it working )... just let them know you thought you were in testing mode or something and it won't happen again. For that matter, don't have your friends "help" you by clicking on your ads either. They have seen everything. Don't try to "trick" them. It doesn't work.

Now, for honest advice: The model is pretty easy to follow, but advertising cost-per-click is pretty cheap unless you get lucky with some higher paying niches and clicks. One of mine does okay at nearly 2 bucks per click. Another, is nickel clicks all damn day. I have had better "per click" success with targeted traffic and affiliate products. Affiliates in click bank, Amzn, insurance and finance have worked well. I have a finance-niche site that ties all 4 of 'em together. And I make some form of money from nearly every visitor that enters or leaves Lower traffic but that site is my money bags at the moment.

With "just" adsense, you have to have a well-paying niche, lots of traffic, and a moderately high (but not suspiciously high) CTR. Otherwise you're trickling in nickels all day. Even though the first few clicks are exciting, the excitement wanes and you'll end up wanting more (at which point, just scale up and make more sites, once you've maximized your first one).

    Look warriors,

I am really new to this I'm serious! I don't click on my ads at all. All I did was outed the AdSense code on to my websites wednesday got accepted Thursday. Looked at it this morning and that's my whole account stats. I have no friends who are clicking on the ads either. I just pitted the ads on my website and that's it. I will give you my ads reports from the ad I created it for it. I posted an AdSense code for my second part of the application.

Google doesn't care. They have many AdSense users, and they are not going to keep you around if they feel your stats are suspicious. If I were you, I would report those stats to Google asap and tell them that they look suspicious. Tell them that you have no idea why your CTR is so high, and you think that you may have been click bombed. It's not worth losing an AdSense account over the small profit that you made off those clicks. Even if you did nothing, it doesn't look natural.

It's ok flatbro we're all here to help. And this is based on aggregate experience and a lot of us reading posts that say "My adsense was banned, help?" or something like that. So we're just letting you know. And, what may have happened is actually 'click bombing' which can happen, even on a new account. I had this happen to me once when my clicks went from like 1-2 per day to 20 per day... this happened for 2 days and I reported it. I still have my account (and, side note: got to keep the spare change from the clicks too hehe). So, we're all here to help.

I think you're doing great, and as long as you keep focus and have fun with it, you'll keep doing well

      Good job man!

As far as everyone telling you to be careful about the clicking, you can take a little pre-emptive action to keep it from happening. I'm at my day job now, so I don't have all of my bookmarks here, but go to Google and start looking for a WP-plugin that track clicks by IP. I'm drawing a complete blank on it right now, but maybe someone reading this will know what I'm talking about.

Anyways, the gist of it is this: When someone clicks on your AdSense, the plugin tracks it and then switches off the AdSense block for 24 hours if it detects that IP address again. This will keep a competitor from going to your site and just click-click-clicking away, getting you banned. (It will also stop your "helpful" friends from "helping" you if that was the case, even without your knowledge.)

Yeh a 150% CTR is unheard of for that amount of clicks, its really as simple as that.

I just started sites just like you, one has 600 clicks and not one conversion yet. Something tells me your friend who has also been doing adsense probably clicked your ads to motivate you and is not telling you. Friends tend to do stupid **** like that not realizing he could get your account banned.

I've talked to you through pm and I know how much you hate blackhat so I know you're not clicking your own ads. But you may want to make sure your friend didn't do it wouldn't hurt to ask.

    Either way, keep it up!!

    -Red

edit: seeing from your most recent post I take that back, something else very odd seems to be going on.

Nah...all of my sites get hits from Google bots everyday, and I don't even have AdSense on some of them. What's happening there is that Google will crawl your site every so often to see if there's new content or if the old content has changed.

I've had Google ads on my site for 5 years. I got one $100 check from them (over 2 years ago). I added a second site last year. I get traffic of approx 30 unique visitors per day to each site and suddenly got over 100 on one of the sites for several days in a row. Out of that surge of traffic I got 40 clicks on ads! So after 2 years I will get another check finally.

I post all of that to say I don't know what was driving the traffic. I know that sudden clicks *can* look funny but it really depends on so much, what drove the traffic there in the first place and what the ads are that are being displayed.

The new ads that I saw on the sites during this time were for a specific school that teaches the Arts and talks about teaching how to break into acting. Who knows? Maybe it was just a great ad. It worked well on my movie review page so maybe people interested in movies were interested in learning how to be an actor?

That's more than likely the bot that determines what ads come up on your site. I'm not saying it's not multi-functioned, but that one crawls all of my AdSense sites.

You filed a report with google over 9 click?

You need to read the terms of service of adsense carefully - don't post your CTR. Don't call attention to your new account by contacting google every few clicks.

You should work to build up the site - let google worry about the adsense clicks.

Kay's got a point here. AdSense TOS is a b@#$% about sharing the information...you might want to go back and edit the OP and make sure that the sensitive information isn't there. I'd forgotten about that part...I've just made it a habit never to share my actual numbers with anyone since reading the TOS a couple of years ago.
