How to Build My Subscriber Base?

You could find someone on this website. Just as you would find a customer in on the internet you now have to find a affiliate on the internet. I would be willing to become an affiliate.

Why not try using an ebook for your list building? Come up with a niche that is close or related to your niche investing website that offers a premium subscription service for real-time mentoring. You can do either of these two:

1. Write a 50-page ebook and use it as a giveaway for your subscribers. You know, for the sake of building your list.
2. Write a 15 to 20-page ebook and another 50-page ebook. The shorter one will be your giveway to entice readers to purchase the longer version. The shorter one must be packed with powerful information. THe longer ebook must contain the complete details of the shorter version. The shorter version will serve as a "teaser" for your subscribers.

The first option allows you to build your client-base.
The second option enables you to build your client-base AND earn by selling your ebook (PLR). It's a double-edge sword.

What do your clients want? Figure it out and provide that value to your prospects. For example, I use awesome info-packed Webinars to help prospective clients benefit from my services before they ever become clients.

Try offering something easy like: "Tip of the day or week" start off with something easy so you can get it up and running fast and then test and tweak until you hit your CTR expectation.

Giving value is the key. You don't want to entice people to subscribe and then under-deliver.

Well, it looks like some of the responses are varying and I have to admit that when I read your post it's a little confusing. If I understand correctly, you are looking for subscribers TO YOUR SITE, not to a list because your site is a membership site, correct?

Well if this is true, you 'simply' need to identify your target demographic and then drive targeted traffic to your site. The usual suspects of methods for this can be: PPC, PPV, Social Media (sounds like LinkedIn might be good) and good old fashioned keyword research and content creation.

If your site is optimized to convert, you simply need to drove people to it that will be at least generally interested and some percentage will convert - which you can increase and work on with testing.

As mentioned, getting prospects onto an email list and then into your funnel with then end goal being that they subscribe to your site is another possibility and way to increase your overall site conversions.

As clarification--yes i do have a website now which is a paid subscription service. So i'm just trying to drive traffic--in order for people to sign up. Have had limited success thus far with adwords--so i figured looking for affiliates to help promote might be a good idea.

I like the idea of an e-book--just strapped for time now--so that might be something a little further down the line.
