What is the Best Google Places course/software you have used?

I am looking into Google Places courses and software, and I was wanting to know your opinion on the best out there - based on your experience. It would also just be great to hear your thoughts.

So what is your favourite software/course you have learnt great techniques from?

Thank you! Your help is much appreciated

Google Places Cheat Sheet by Brian Anderson is good.

You can google it. I think you can find it somewhere on WF too.

    • Depends what you are looking for. Are you asking as a business owner wanting to boost ranking on your own site or as a consultant wanting to offer a service to other businesses?

Since you are posting in the main forum, not down in the offline section I assume you are a business owner. Here is a pretty good basic free course. Google Maps Marketing | Google Places SEO | Local SEO

I'd also second Google Places Cheat Sheet by Brian Anderson.

If you are thinking about doing this as a service then you need to know Google Place is EXTREMELY complicated and very buggy. I don't think there is any one course that teaches you all of it. I do ADVANCED Places training for consultants that have already had 3 or 4 WSO and have been doing Places for a couple years and when I'm done they are always amazed at how much they didn't know.

So I would say to do this as a business full time you probably need to do at least 3 of the courses just to try to learn all the different stuff because no one teaches everything you need to know. Brian and Mario have some good courses.

Just be advised some teach tactic that can get you suspended. Others teach outdated methods. I'm a Google Top Contributor and help consultants and business owners in the Places forum all day long that followed bad advice and lost their listing.

Google Places algos AND the rules are constantly changing. So if you offer this service to others, even if you take 3 courses you still have to constantly keep learning and stay up-to-date.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

PS You asked about software too. But you don't say what kind of Place software. Rank tracking? Competitive Analysis? Citation Building? Prospecting? NAP research tools? There are too many
for me to list to answer a generic question like that. But my tools page below lists most of the
top Google Places software PLUS I give you some FREE ones on that page too.
