How much can you make with a WSO?

I've run multiple WSOs which were of grt success..but

I wonder how much others make - the WSO Pro stats says it has generated over $35 million so far.

Is there a way to find out, how much does the best of WSOs (the biggest sellers) potentially make in terms of sales and/or revenue?

I doubt this statement is a lie, there is potential to make a tonnes of money with just WSO's alone, in the $ ten thousands $10k - $50k (even more)

You just have to know how to do it

I see what you're doing there and thats honestly a great way imo to gain some credibility on these forums. In fact, if I ever release a WSO, thats exactly how I will do it.

My first few will be free, to create quite a stir and gain some fans. It seems thats what you're doing, thats what kenster did, its what bob ross did, its what A LOT of successful wso marketers have done.

Give out A LOT of free information about the WSO your about to release (results in advance, + you don't even have to talk about the one you'll be charging for, your initial goal is to build an incredible following with free information). So much information people can't imagine you doing anything more in depth about it. Untill you DO SOMETHING MORE IN DEPTH. Your initial free material can be in the form of a free wso or a free thread where you do some really high quality tutorials for free.

You will see guys doing this on here A LOT. Like right now, there is a PPC video tut over in the CPA forums. Look at all the positive feedback that guy is getting. His video was incredibly in depth and very intelligently made.

If he released a WSO tommorow about the same topic, even more in depth, you'd have to be a moron not to buy it. Thats why more than having a love for marketing, I have more of a love for watching other marketers work their craft. As thats where the real money is at, finding the people who know how to do it right. These guys essentially just release stuff, that NOONE in their right mind could turn down. Think along those lines, I think you can definitely succeed at marketing. I can't even imagine how this "results in advance" concept would work on facebook.

Our business is trying to get energy audit leads, so I will go on facebook, and release an incredible video tutorial of how to make your home energy efficient. It will be very much in depth, very easy to understand, and will have lots of rare facts people aren't use to hearing.

I'll use it to build a fan base, then eventually move fans over to my website for the paid version of our service.

Kenster released a SUPER LONG, very much in depth free wso report. Got the attention of many people I think just due to how comprehensive it was. He also used the WSO to build up his own relative credibility. If you read it carefully, you'll see many parts where he *implies* he has made a lot of money with the methods. But he doesn't focus on that fact, he's very ambigous about it, which leaves peoples imaginations to think he's a lot wealthier than he actually is.

That alone immediately increases readers perception of him. Of course he uses it to promote is six figure alliance. Answer this one question - when you read kensters WSO, did you ever get the impression he was poor & didn't know what he was doing?

Thats ALL that matters. I don't know how much this guy makes, I have no idea what the real scoop is, all I know is how he frames it in the WSO. Most readers will just sense it, and not really analyze HOW he's building credibility.

Either way, the method to succeeding at WSOs is by saturating the market with FREE material related to your niche, you make that free material more valuable than most the wsos people are ALREADY SELLING (again, take Kenster for example - his free WSO was better than most wsos people buy about CPA). You immediately gain a crapton of credibility and crush the competition imo. That will give you the leverage to sell an avalanche of wsos imo.

Thats one thing I love about marketing. Its never really about one behavoir you make, but a sequence of behavoirs, how they add value to each following sequence, and THATS really what makes you money imo.

To add to what Red said, you can build up your subscribers list from here, and then sell the following releases to your list.

I think that sounds like a good plan...

Well it depends on the Internet marketer and whether they re-release and have upsells/downsells etc. I know that John Thornhill has made over $100,000 with one of his most successful WSOs (including what he got from the upsell and downsell).

Do you have any proof to back up your statement? I would like to know if you know which WSO made that..?

According what you guys are saying, isn't it better to launch on Clickbank where you'd have way more potential affiliates?

I suspect one wso can make over $250k over a period of 6 months..

I would like more info on this issue, if anyone has first hand proof of some WSO which made a big launch or some crazy sales over $100K..

      Why not both?

A WSO is supposed to be a product you have at a special price... meaning it should be on the web somewhere else for a higher price.

They don't exactly monitor this like they used to, so it's not like that.

I use the WSO forum as just the start to the product process. It's an easy way to test out your sales funnel and the product itself before launching it to the major public. Remember, the WSO forum is a tiny tiny fraction of this wonderful IM buyers market.

Improve your conversions after the initial WSO launch, then launch it on Clickbank. You will be able to reach a bunch more affiliates, plus now you have proof in the numbers that your product converts and can make them money.

Use WSO to launch it and test it out (keeping the price of your offer lower than the price it would usually be)

then after some testing, tweaks release it on clickbank.

Usually the WSO marketplace is a 'test' marketplace. Professional marketers analyse their product, fix sales pitches, improve their conversions, provide statistics, gather testimonials, etc., to ensure that their product is worth investing in.

Clickbank makes millionaires, however, without the right experience and knowledge you could well lose your $50K investments.

      Def. do both!
Clickbank can be very hard to get a Bizopp product approved. I was forced to take one of my products to clicksure which was wayy easier on the approval process. Only thing that sucks is they don't have recurring payments and no paypal ((

Good advice Petelta. I think that the WSO section is a good place to test out your sales funnel and the strength of your product. It's a good way to decide whether it's worth it to sell the exact product somewhere else or if you should repackage it and make other modifications like sales copy, graphics, bonuses, etc.

If its a crap product you might sell $50-$100 worth...lol

If you have a great product and great affiliates... you can do $20-$50k+ in less than 2-3 weeks.

But it also depends on your pricing. Dont sell $9 products unless you dont want affiliates...lol

    Even at 100% that sucks...

    Just saying....

it depends on the wso quality and the ways it use, also the price must be low so evryone can get a copie and this will help for sales boosting
also the graphic in the sales page helps
    also the person reputation :p

Very good point there.. most marketer test their product as WSO and then release it in clickbank for more exposure.

If you have upsell and some high ticket strategies, $100k is possible to be made.

$35 million is just what the WSO's run through Warrior Plus have made. There are a lot of WSO's that use other services so that figure would actually be a lot higher... and that most definitely is a REAL figure.

There is no reason why you can't make over $50K from a WSO but very few people do. They are the minority. I have made well over that figure from one WSO with NO upsells and NO OTO's at all but that's how most have to achieve those figures nowadays... you won't find many who can do those sorts of figures on the front end product alone.

The sky is the limit though. These days people seem more interested in releasing regular products that do smaller figures rather than the big launches that take a lot of planning and preparation.

In my opinion it generally depends on the quality of the wso, the reputation of the seller, and the review and testomonials the wso gets.

    Conclusion is..

If the front end product without upsells and/or OTOs makes $100K.. it's Awesome..

    If $50K Very Good..

    If $25K Good enough

    If $10K it's decent

    Below $5K it's bad..

    Do you guys agree?

        I don't understand the measurement.

        Annually? Monthly?

What's the range? Launch to the point where it sells no more or figures for the first year?

There's a million and one factors to the success of a WSO and it's likely many won't be too prepared to throw around details of their finances unless it's tied directly to attracting affiliation.

I don't think great products and/or great affiliates play a role here.
It's a matter we are asking who the luckiest guy is here.
And we want to know how he/she made it.
Then we should ask the WF-administrator if possible.
He must be the one who has that record.

I had one that has done $3,000 so far, but the backend has done a lot more.

I would consider that a success.

Plus to a guy who has never made a penny online, a $100 profit on a WSO is like finding a pot of gold for them.

If a product really does work and is genuinely useful to a user then the customer instantly develops trust and confidence in the person selling the wso. For example, I bought a product from Shawn Anderson, it was at a low price and I was extremely sceptical at first, I had never heard of him, but to my immense surprise and delight, his very short guide does actually work and produced stunning results. Effect ; I was shocked and in awe. Consequently when he recommends something in the future I am highly likely to buy if it will solve a problem for me. By the way, I am not an affiliate and have no incentive from Shawn to say any of this but his short guide, which I was able to implement that day and see a real result that day made me put him in the Frank Kern / Guaher Chaudhry / Matt Trainer league. He also replied really fast to an email I sent him. Like, wow, he actually communicates with his customers. If an offer really solves a problem quickly then people will buy. If a lot of people have a certain problem then you could make a lot. This thing with Shawn was that the instructions were clear, read them in less than an hour and in less than an hour I had a result. I showed my lovely girlfriend and she was really impressed and thinks I am awesome, so naturally I think Shawn Anderson is awesome because he really did help me. Very best regards, Nick

It's interesting to note how much Russ and Adam's Ultimate Sales Funnel made. It was a quality product with good content which wouldn't have taken too long to create. It seems the key to creating a high-selling WSO is to build good credibility first and build buzz whilst pre-marketing the launch. I'm currently working on a product which was born out of a manual I wrote for my students about X-Traffic. Look out for it soon

If you want to do a wso or a clickbank launch just do both, you'll sell more without having to do much more work. You can make a ton of money on a wso not just from the initial sales but from the list you build out and sell to againa and again, each time growing the list more and more.
