Sitemap question...

Do you add a regular sitemap to your sites along with an XML Google sitemap? I'm just curious if one needs both for SEO purposes.

  • Not really unless you feel it will help customers or visitors find something quickly. If you have an XML Sitemap then that is all the "Big" Search engines need. Google, Yahoo and MSN support them.

    That being said, some lesser search engines that do not support Sitemap.org sitemaps may find it beneficial.

    In general, I wouldn't worry about it.
