Best monetization strategy?

Hello fellow Warriors,

I have a website that's getting 100-140 visitors per day. The site is about an occupation and I know (tested) that my visitors want to get a person to help them with their project (usually an assignment for 1-2 hours) as soon as possible. Out of the 120 visitors I expect 10 leads.

Now here's my question: what do you think would be the best monetization strategy for the site? I thought of going with making a deal with a professional working in this business to get them a banner on the site (and the only banner I'll be selling) for about $200 per month. The number of gigs you can get out of it is easily enough for that.

But with the high number of gigs spread across the country I'm also considering lowering the monthly fee to $47-$50 so that more people will sign up to get the leads. That way with 4-10 people I'll be making more than with 1 banner.

What are your thoughts on this? Go with 1 professional or make it a place (like eLance.com for example) where you can add your bid to a project?
Of course other suggestions are welcome too.

    I think you have a solid strategy.if i were you i would also try incorporating adsense into your monetization strategy.

    If your blog is on a good niche why not making the ''products tab'' with stuff from Amazon? You could Iframe the amazon page and have it as your products.
    Also don't you think that cpa offers are better? Many times you get paid for capturing a lead or a zip code and that is really easy.

    I just think that amazon/cpa/adsense together could bring you more money than just 1 banner but that depends on what niche you are working on

      Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately there aren't any products suitable. And Amazon doesn't have a site in my country so no joy on that. Good thoughts though.

      I checked Peerfly for CPA offers but no joy. Nothing in my country that's suitable. I already tried affiliate banners but I never had much success with that.

      I agree. amazon affiliate is hot niche right now. Amazon has the self branding type of business so you don't have to worry about people questioning. I think by making amazon store in your site page will give more opportunity to generated income.

    All the good suggestions of IulianP became fruitless. Suggestions were nice really. Anyway, In my thinking, going with 1 professional will be the better option. Provide quality, it will not lead your price to cut, rather increase long term relationship and profit.

    forget banners or adsense or amazon... set up a number using evoice or any type of call forwarding service. sell the leads. if an average sale is worth $200 to a professional then they'll typically pay 20 to 30 dollars a lead.

    If the average sale is worth $50 you can sell the leads for 5 to 7.50.

    10 leads a day? means 50 to 75 dollars a day at least.... if not 200 to 300.

    Always look at the trade off versus the pay off: yes you MIGHT earn more money if multiple people pay a fee, but you do need to find those people first or you'll make less money.

    At the same time, if you do get multiple people then you've managed your financial risks better because being 100% dependent on 1 person for your money sucks. What happens if that person is sick for 2 weeks? Goes on vacation? You do not want your bizz to suffer from random stuff like that.

    Having said that, you need to make a plan of action to contact/get people to pay that fee until you have enough people. If you can't get enough people then you'll be forced to go for one guy/girl.

    BTW: AdSense? Are you kidding me? With an average conversion rate of between 1-3% of 100 visitors a day, it means you'll get 90 clicks (if you're lucky with 3% conversion) for what... 50 cents up to a dollar per click if you're really lucky? best case scenario: $90. Worst case: $30 or less. That's not an option in my mind.
