First of all, just to be clear, I'm not bashing Aweber. I LOVE Aweber! I just happen to be having some issues that I haven't been able to get completely resolved and was wondering if anyone else was having the same or similar problems.
That being said...
I just upgraded from an old Aweber account to a new one so I have the single optin option. Unfortunately, because my list was under the old double optin system I had to change the form on my squeeze page. This shouldn't be a problem, though. This was built in XsitePro. I use XsitePro version 2 for a lot of my squeeze pages because I find it to be quicker.
Anyway, for whatever reason, the button wouldn't line up with the name and email boxes. I sized them up perfectly within Aweber (several times), but every time I put it on the page and published it the "Submit" button was extended around a half inch to the right of the optin forms.
This was in Firefox 12. However, when I checked it in IE8 it was totally whacked!
There was a blank area of nearly an inch before the button text and even though the button itself was aligned perfectly on the left, it extended all the way off the form on the right.
They finally took a screen shot of the button image and put it on there where it looks correct, but they're saying that it's a CSS issue on my end (even though the guy also said that several other people were having the problem too, especially in IE9).
I've checked for updates in XsitePro V2 and nothing's changed for months. I also tried setting up this squeeze page using NVU, but as soon as I previewed it the same thing happened.
Has anyone else had this problem?
If so, would you please share what you did to fix it?
P.S. If you're using Aweber it might be a good idea to check your squeeze page and see what the optin form looks like in different browsers, especially Internet Explorer since it's the most widely used.
