Unique Content and What can/should I do with it!

I'm online since 2007 and since then the e-world turned upside down already a few times.

In the past your UNIQUE articles had a very clear destination...

Ezinearticles, then your site.

After a while I started to switch and published them to my site first, and then to EA or other directories.

Now, after Panda and Penguin I'm actually a bit lost up to what level the use of my unique content is still effective.

Is below still OK, and in this sequence?

- Post first at my domain, wait 2 days
- Post after at EA or Articlebase, or another ONE directory (only one)
- Rewrite into a Press release and publish
- Make a video out of it and publish over Tubemogul
- Make a PDF out of the article and publish over PDF sharing sites like SCRIBD etc.
- Rewrite the content and create some Web2.o pages at Squidoo, Hubpages, Weebly etc.

Anything to AVOID or to ADD today in times?

Thanks

G.

I'm not going to be a lot of help with my own experience here as I'm still learning how to play in this discipline of IM, but I'll tell you to search out Alexa Smith & MYOB. Focus on Alexa...nearly everything she writes has links to outstanding and recent threads that can tell you what to do and what not to do in the post-Penguin landscape.

Totally agree. Alexa Smith & MYOB have done tremendous research and they kindly share what they've learned here with all the Warriors. You should be able to find everything you need from their posts.

The landscape post-Panda & Penguin are still changing so it's wise to take your time and do your research.

Quality unique content is literal currency on the internet. So why not trade it in for some actual cash? Here's what I would do with your strategy:
    1. Post first at your domain, and then charge a fee for its access.
    2. Wait X amount of months, then make it publically available on the website.
    3. At the same time, make it available for paid 'syndication' (i.e. licensing) at Constant Content or your own website.
    4. Eliminate the cost of publishing a press release until you've got some actual news to report.
    5. Wait X amount of months, then sell it for exclusive rights at Constant Content or your own website. If successful, remove the post from your website.
    6. If step 5 doesn't produce anything lucrative, then try your hand at profiting from it one more time through a PLR package.
    7. With no sales, share at sharing sites and article directories

With that strategy, you have at least 3 - 4 different opportunities to earn some revenue from one piece of content, which sure beats the hell out of giving it away for free at step one.
