Best Ways to Validate Your Idea

I tried linking a facebook ad to my sales page, but facebook disabled my account. So, now I am trying and link a google ad with my sales page in order to see how many people clicks on buy now.


I feel like I am considering the 1% of the possibilities to validate if my product will sell or not but I can't see any other option for now.


Any suggestion?

    Why did FB disable your account? People place links on their pages all the time. Sometimes topics like this get me worried. LOL

    I took the format of a sales page I bought into a while ago and I changed the content to fit my idea. Facebook disabled my account, so I uploaded my ID in order to get in touch with them and they replied: "your account was disabled due to suspect fraudolent activity and we won't re-enable it. Thanks for your understanding".
    It doesnt make any sense at all for me and it's useless to say they didnt reply when I asked them why and how I could modify my sales page or ad in order to get approved,
    even tough they have my address, credit card infos and ID copy.

    Anyways,
    any validating test suggestion?

      Does the product exist, and if someone clicks the 'buy now' button, can they actually buy now?

      If not, then you were conducting fraudulent activity. And you might want to quit sending Adwords traffic to the same page before you lose your Adwords account, too.

      As for validating an idea, look around. Is anyone else offering anything even remotely similar, and do they appear successful? I don't mean phony screen shots and sham testimonials. I mean, are they actively marketing the product and have they been doing so for some time?

      In the olden days, you could scope out the successful products by sitting down with a year or twos' worth of niche magazines or tabloids. The ones that kept buying ads for months or years at a time were making enough to keep buying ads.

    I think what the op is trying to do is "dry testing". It becomes fraudulent if you ask for credit card numbers and sensitive information of that nature and don't give anything in return which is not how it should be done.

    The purpose of dry testing is to check out how many people would click the buy button to determine if a product is worth manufacturing. In this case you would send customers to a Thank you page once they click "buy" but before any personal info is taken from them. The thank you page can explain that the product is out of stock and will be available soon.

      Yes, mrinternational that's exactly what I am trying to do!
      What I did was to link the buy now button to a simple page where it says:
      The product is currently unavailable, leave your email in order to receive a one off notification when it becomes available again.


      In this way I can check how many people click on buy now and how many are so interested in my idea to leave their email address.


      If the numbers are convincing, I would then create the product.
      Is this fraudolent activity? can I take their email address in your opinion or it's too much?


      ps. I just received an email from facebook that reactivated my account. (even tough my fb ad is not running as they deleted my funding sources and I've some troubles in adding new ones as they are refusing paypal now..)

        I don't think it does fall in any fraudulent activity, it seems to me nice way to build serious buyers list.

        Doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with this approach to me. Actually just watched a YouTube video from some idea incubator guru talking about doing this very thing - Set up a page and see if people will buy before you actually get the product/business going.

        You can probably try another Facebook account, or ask for feedback here. Also, banner ads are often way less worried about where you're linking. If you have the funds, try finding a blog or two in the same niche as your product and buy some ads for a month or so to see what happens.

    You must have been doing some serious spamming because they give you warnings from time to time if your behavior becomes suspicious. Create another account and be more careful next time.
