I have been looking to no avail, for a online banner maker that makes png images (clear backgrounds) if you have a link that would be great.

Are you looking for something that will take a preexisting banner with a solid background and convert it into one with a transparent background? Or a tool that will make a banner from scratch with a transparent background?

I use Photoshop to create banners with a transparent
background.

There's a free alternative - GIMP:

GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program (no affil.)

You can find some tutorials on YouTube:

Gimp - Transparent Background in Logo Image ...

The check background is transparent once you save it. It might save a .gif as default, but I imagine they have .png too. You could also do the same thing with pixlr:

I like Photo editor online / free image editing direct in your browser - Pixlr.com

It's free, browser based, no login required and you can save as PNG.

Hey Pete, if you know a little photoshop, you could download GIMP (it's free) and make your own banners. That may not be what you are looking for but you can build much more professional looking banners than what a white label banner creator would do for you.
