Feedback NEEDED on my Authority Site Project

INTERNET MARKETING

I want to build out an Authority website (similar to ehow.com) that will be all about "how to" questions. All low competition, long tail keywords.

I plan on launching the site with 500 blog posts each blog post being min 750 words with 2-3 photos. I plan on having a total of 1000 blog posts by month 3. Each blog post targeting a long tail keyword ("how to" question).

I also plan on using my web design outsourcer to create a custom design. So it's unique looking.

What are your thoughts? I plan on making this a big money making site

Is the site going to be an authority in any particular niche (medical, sports, food, etc)? It might help you out initially if you narrow your focus to a particular niche but still use the long tail keyword concept you mentioned. It would also probably be a better user experience for your visitors because your info will be more targeted to the niche they're searching for information for.

Clever approach. But writing 1000 750 word posts in 3 months it's 8300+ words a day!!! I dont think it's doable unless you outsurce content creation. But generally, the idea is very good and often used for adsense websites.
