How do i insert a clickbank banner into my sidebar on my wordpress site?

by Double J 8 replies
I would like to promote my first product on clickbank. Having trouble placing a banner ad into my right sidebar. I copied the html code with my affiliate ID and placed it into the text section of my widget area. I do have the clickable text but NO Banner/image. I am willing to pay someone to show my how to insert the clickbank banner into my sidebar.

Sit tight chap... most of us have the entire video collection about WP but having said that WP has now changed to another version...

Therefore I shall not bother to look through the list to find out whether I can auto-deliver something to put you out of your misery to allow someone else here to update you somehow with their know-how skills...

If this thread looks unanswered for more than 24 hours I shall bother to look & try to oblige (otherwise enjoy the evening).

Take the image url and check that it's actually working.

It might be that you have to upload it onto your own server, or a bad link in the html you copied and pasted.

You are right this should be a simple job, and I'm sure that you can find someone over at fiverr to sort this out for you.

Are you able to put an image from your WP media library in the text widget and hyperlink it?

It should be easy, use a text widget and add something like:
      Code:
      <a href="your_clickbank_hoplink" target="_blank"><img src="the_url_to_the_image"></a>

You might want to go to "add new" widgets and look for a widget that is specifically for adding banners/images to the side bar. Some are very simple with one box for the image url and another for the destination url, etc. There may even be one specific to clickbank.

    Hi,

You could browse over the net for the code for this.

What you can do is download a copy of the banner and save it as jpeg or whatever image file type.

Then upload the photo to any filehosting site such as Dropbox.

Then go to your WP site and insert a text widget and put this code there:

    <a href="http://putyouraffiliatelinkhere.com"><img src="http://putyouraffiliatebannerlinkherefromdropbox.jpg"></a>

    I hope this helps mate

    Just my thoughts,

    Nick
