Hi I really would like to create a clickbank product on affiliate marketing. The problem is that I don't know how would I attract lots of affiliates to have a great product launch. I just want the right information so that I can start building my product.

Okay first off, you have to have a good product. And I don't mean just any product.. if you want affiliates, it has to be something that really gives people a feel of excitement and gets them wanting to buy your product.

If an affiliate wants to buy your product, they're more likely to promote it, so take that into consideration

You could start off by buying solo ads, media buys and other paid traffic sources. Then, in your product, out of the affiliates that purchased, you could provide a link to promote the product. If your product is good, then they'll likely promote it, especially if they're in a similar niche.

    Hi ...

The big question for you, I think, is why affiliates would want to promote a product whose intended customer base is a group of people interested in affiliate marketing, many of whom will themselves already be ClickBank affiliates and will obviously buy such a product through their own hoplinks rather than through your putative affiliates' hoplinks?

It's hard to see that ClickBank would be the place to offer a product like that, isn't it?

I hope you'll excuse a couple of observations, here ...

    (i) I make my living as a full-time affiliate of ClickBank, but there's no way I'd be willing to look at such a product with a view to promoting it, because I know that I often wouldn't get paid. I might be able to generate traffic to the offer, but not earn many commissions on the sales, because "my" customers will create their own hoplink and buy the product that way (and that's exactly why many of those products have such high gravities, of course - it's all people "buying one copy each");

(ii) If I were producing such a product myself, for exactly that reason ClickBank would be the one place I wouldn't sell it: you surely need to sell it somewhere where affiliates can't buy through their own links, not somewhere where that's allowed and is a very common practice?

My guess is that, if offering such a product at ClickBank, you might be able to attract some/plenty of the 95% of affiliates who collectively produce only 5% of the affiliate-referred sales, but you'll lose the other 5% of affiliates who between them bring in 95% of the sales (they tend to have thought it through!).

There are some good software programs that can help you find affiliates. Some people would not suggest this, however, I have had success using these tools. My 2 cents.

Please keep in mind that trying to attract 100's of affiliates is just a waste of your time. Your real efforts should be focused on the very small number of super affiliates who can really make a difference to your business. The average affiliate won't do much for you -- it's always the top 1-2% who make the biggest difference.

Agree.. Or you can pay other marketer to be a partnership. It took around $2000-$4000 dollar, but It worth if you want to gain instant credibility and attracting more affiliate

      Agreed.

Too many people try to acquire as many affiliates as possible, but when it comes down to the end, only a few affiliates are really even going to do anything.

Your main objective should be to find those true affiliates that really want to go above and beyond promoting your product. To make it even better, they should have passion and interest in your niche and be excited about your product at the same time.

      Will said it all...

Why go after 100 affiliates when you really only need 5-10 that will bring you the same number of sales...

Saying that, quickest way to get infront of affiliates is using something like JV Notify Pro.

Making successful life as am affiliate marketer is not easy but it also not impossibly hard. You can live it successfully if you do everything correctly and carefully. Here are some suggestions.

1- Create A Product That Actually Change Peoples Live And Help Them To Live Better
2- Offer Your Product To Some Bloggers And Ask Them To Write A Review About It
3- Host A Free Online Webinar To Promote Your Product Launch
4- Write About Your Products On Big Blogs As A Guest Post
    5- Use Google Adword
    6- Use Email Marketing
7- Interview Some Well Know Affiliate Marketers And Ask Them To Say A Word About Your Product.

    And blah blah...

But here's a most important suggestion for you, if you are planning to sell something then dont act like salesman, act like a helper and try to help people with your product. I hope this will help you out..

    Hello!

You should convince people why it's your product they should buy. Interest them in every way. Try to capture the deal they want. Think of it this way, if you were a customer, what values of a product would totally convince you into buying it. I hope that helped you in a way or so.

    Best of Luck!

Great question. This is the chicken and egg thing. Those who already have great product launches and a name for themselves can get affiliates easily. They just post one post on here and there will be thousands queuing up (including the 2% that will really make it a successful launch). Those lower down the food chain struggle to get any affiliates at all.

Finally, remember - once your product is out there, it will continue to gain affiliates over time, as your name grows!

Here is my take on it:

    1. Start small. Don't expect your first launch to be massive.
    2. Offer to do something for lots of people so that there is more in it for them
than the simple affiliate commission. If you make it worth people's while, you
will get some affiliates. Once you get some - you will get more.

    3. Don't expect the really big players to promote for you. Go for people of similar
standing to you. Reciprocate. JV. Promote for them too.

If you want to create a product about affiliate marketing then you should already know how to attract affiliates because that's probably the most important aspect of affiliate marketing.

I'd suggest you create a product based on something you really know how to do rather than something you would like to know how to do. Good luck.

    Hi,

If you're determined to do this, do it because the
market is definitely there as evidenced by the
hundreds and hundreds of affiliate marketing
    products already in the marketplace.

I would stay away from Clickbank, though, for
the reasons already stated above. There are scripts
you can buy to run a successful launch with
affiliates such as RAP, or you can use JVZoo or one
of the other services - even WSO Pro.

    But,

Let's answer a few questions first.

What is going to make your product unique? What
will make it stand out among all the other hundreds
of products like this already selling?

What will be your selling price? And how much
    commissions will you be offering?

What will you offer on the back end, and will
    affiliates get commission on that?

Sometimes "super" affiliates will promote a lower
ticket product if they expect a higher commission
on the back and the followup converts well.

How well does your sales page convert? How many clicks
does an affiliate have to send to the sales page to
get a sale? (you obviously can't answer this right now
but it's a question you'll need to be able to answer
for any successful affiliate when the time comes.)

Successful affiliate marketers have more products
shoved at them than they can possibly promote
in a lifetime so they pick and choose the ones
that offer the greatest return for their efforts as
    a rule.

Sometimes that doesn't mean money. It might be
on account of friendship, or it could even be a
product they feel will really help their customers
and give them a leg up.

Most times, though, it's the money.

A real affiliate marketer can promote a high ticket
product (meaning $500 or more) just as easily as
a $27 product, and all things being equal, the
higher ticket product is the one they'll choose.

So, to start with, your product is going to have
to stand out from the crowd. You'll need a good
    "hook" to get people interested.

Then you'll need a killer sales letter that will convert
at least 2-3% of visitors to sales. (or more)

Next, you need to use a platform that guarantees
your affiliates will get paid for their efforts, and that
leaves out Clickbank for the most part.

Finally, your product needs to be priced high enough
to offer a decent commission to make it worth their while
unless, like I said above, you have a higher ticket backend
offer in place that will pay bigger commissions.

There's more, but these are the main points you need to
address while you're putting your product together.

I'm not trying to discourage you at all. It's definitely
doable, but I want you to be aware of what you're facing
    up front.

Now, to directly answer your original question, if you can
do all this, the easiest and quickest way to get a lot of
affiliates to promote your product is to hire a JV broker
that's trained to recruit affiliates and to oversee a
    successful launch.

I hope this helps a little.

This is completely wrong: many of the best-selling and highest-converting products, some of them with enormous numbers of affiliates, offer lower commissions than that. (And in any case, 50% of a $97 product pays the affiliate far more per sale than, for example, 75% of a $27 product).

The minimum commission for ClickBank products is 1%.

The maximum (without using the affiliate referral agreement gadget) is 75% but it's actually possible to pay up to 100% by using that.

You can offer bonuses to the affiliate/jv page. The affiliate that make the most sales will get cash and/or gifts. Create promotional material to help you affiliates out as well. banners, videos, blog post, email messages, keywords, articles, etc.

You could possibly contact well known Internet marketers about your product launch. It never hurts to ask if they would be willing to promote your product. Tell them about bonuses and cash prizes to the affiliates who make the most sales.

Gosh, there are so many resources...

First, jvnotiftypro.com, jvnetwork.com, jvcircles.com, rapbank.com, that should get you started. It's really cool because people promote stuff blindly in there. They just love promoting stuff and making quick easy cash. I'd recommend giving away 100% commission and having a backend system in place to make a quick turn-around of profits.

Second, take a look at James Penn's guide. It's really perfect what you are doing. And it's less than $10. http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...fter-sale.html

That is more than what you need.

Other than that, stick with the standard best practices like setting up a JV page for people to sign up, have ready made sales emails for people to send, etc.

    Now get to work!

Why the hell would you wait? Create you product and then worry about getting affiliates. Create the products and start your own promotion through PPC. If you have good EPC then affiliates will find you.

Affiliates aren't going to be interested unless you have some proof of conversion. So get busy and don't worry about that until you have the product created. I mean, you're just stalling... you're looking for affiliates before you even have the product created and tested.

Exactly. The hardest part is getting some sort of track record, whatever you're selling, in addition to a really unique USP. That's the first task. Take it a step at a time. This is why so many launches fail to get off the ground at all, either because there is no USP and/or the product struggles to get off the ground as a result of no track record leading to no affiliates and no further sales.

Here are some ideas on how to attract hundreds of affiliates:

    1. Set up a WP Blog

    2. Set up a Twitter account and get thousands of followers

    3. Set up a Facebook Fan Page

    4. Advertise using Google Adwords

    5. Write some E-Books and put them on publication sites like Scribd.com or SlideShare

    6. Build your own E-Mail List.

    7. Put free ads on Craigslist

    8. Put ads on WSO

    9. Contribute to different Affiliate Marketing forums like Warrior Forum, Abestweb.com, or Affilorama

    10. Write articles and send them to different Article Directories like GoArticles or Ezine Articles

There is no easy way, you just need to get out there and start marketing. Somethings will work and others won't. Hope this gives you a couple of ideas. Best of luck!

I would say the most effective way would be to go knocking on the doors of site owners that you think would be a nice fit for your product.

here is another tip: Add your product to your forum signature...see below
not just here, any other forum that could have potential affiliates contact you.

There is no sure fire way to find them. The best advice I could give you is actively seek them out and pitch them. it might take some time, but that's how to get it done.

    Good luck!

Those marketers that attract lots of affiliates have usually taken lots of time to build their reputation, their lists, their products and their relationships among other things. Start with the advice you've already been given on this thread and start doing the same thing. The important thing is to start. Good luck to you.

Do you really mean to say that you are not sure how to attract affiliates, but you want to teach others how to do affiliate marketing? Wow !!

I don't know whether I am missing your point, but what i am getting out of your post sounds ironical...

It's a worry hey! I am no expert that is for sure, but it makes you wonder about buying products on line. I am sure half of the stuff available is made up by people who have not actually done what their product is teaching! It looks like they just pay $5 on fiverr to get some one overseas to churn something out and then sell it as an expert guide! YIKES

Great thread. Lot of good insight gained here. No offense, but I also find it kind of amusing that the author of a program about attracting affiliates is wondering how to attract affiliates.

I must agree on the Affiliate program from someone asking how to get affiliates. It does sound like a fish giving flying lessons, but there are flying fish so who knows.

A different approach could be ad networks, they are cheap and you reach alot of people for pennies on the click. It is cheaper than traditional PPC, (is there such a thing?... well maybe Google Adwords). Also there are so many affiliate systems or programs, JVzoo, Warrior Plus, CB, CJ, and and and.

If you believe in your product, after the bashing you got here then go for it.

I think it might be a little harsh to criticize someone for not knowing how to get affiliates even if they are producing a product on affiliate marketing. This person may have years of knowledge about being an affiliate, how to get and convert traffic, etc. but none about being a merchant.

Anyway, I would suggest that you don't worry at all about affiliates to start with. Just create a good product, market it and sell it. After all, if you can do that you will keep 100% of the income. And, if the product works and gets some traction, as others have said, affiliates will start to come to you.

i disagree with what those people saying that you should only target the top affiliates. That should be the way to go, BUT in the beginning, you wouldn't know who are great, who are not so good at promoting your product.

So in the beginning, I recommend going for quantity; once you start to know who's a really good affiliate marketer, then concentrate on them, and go for quality

You have to facilitate everything for your affiliates. Give them banners, ready messages, everything you can.

At first, i just want to commend you for deciding to be product vendor, becasue that is one of the internet business model that can make you a lots of cash. Though, recruit is not the first when you want do a product lauching. You need to start with you product by working on it to be top north stuffs. Once you are able to do that and other homewroks, you can then go over to JVNotifyPro 2.0 · Joint Venture (JV) Lists, Announcements, Blogs, And Community Forums. to recruit affiliates and also jv partners.Hope this helps.

With affiliate marketing, the 80/20 rule is more like the 95/5
rule in many niches. That makes it VERY worthwhile to
identify and go after the top 5%.

One way to identify that top 5% is to monitor the JV blogs
that many people put up when they are doing a launch. Register
as an affiliate for other product launches in your niche so that
you can watch who the top producers are.

Don't just register as an affiliate but actually promote the
other products as this helps to build relationships and invoke
the law of reciprocity. Often, the hottest lists in any niche
are owned by people who have just finished a product launch.
They have a list of recent, proven buyers! You want those
people to promote for you, and if you did a great job in
promoting for them, they will feel as send of obligation to
promote back... assuming you have a top-quality product
      that the market wants.

If you look at the JV pitch pages of many people doing
product launches these days, you'll see many people showing
screenshots of where they placed as affiliates in recent
      launches.

These product owners often PROVE that they can produce,
and blatantly state that it you produce for them, they are
      open to reciprocation. That works!

After you have created a great product that actually gives value to your customers, the best thing you can do is writing to blog owners in your niche and just bluntly ask them if they want to promote your product. Prepare to get turned down a lot but there will alwyas be people who see the value in your product and put it on their site. Depending on the niche your product is in, you can write dozens of emails a day and expect to get a couple of people starting to promote your product.

Hey, perhaps you can turn this into a case study to see (if you have a quality product) how well this converts in terms of people starting to promote your product by simply writing emails to blog/site owners? I'm sure many people would be interested to see the results..

To make is a success you need to at least get is listed on jvnotifypro, or better find an affiliate to partner with that sells WSO's and find one that will sell yours and it's good have an opt-in on the sales page.

►This system pulled in over 25,000 sales in 2013 right under your nose and you probably laughed at it. But while you were laughing we were laughing all the way to the bank. Some to the tune of 6 and 7 figures. This year 10 times...

"attracting" them is one way... but going out recruiting is another.... see who is ranking at the top on the main keywords associated with your products... ask them if they want to promote your stuff... and offer them more than they are getting elsewhere.

I've been contacted several times by merchants and affiliate managers who have seen my rankings.

If you recruit your affiliates carefully you can avoid the large expense of accounting and writing checks to folks who will sell $39 per year.

Here's a very quick reply and if you take this advice, you will get a consistent flow of affiliates all the time:

As you start to promote your own program to others, when people buy and go to the back office, you will want to add a small banner that will allow your buyers to join your affiliate program. I know that it does not make any sense to offer this to them since they would be interested only in the product that they just bought from you.

Make your affiliate program a part of the whole system.

As time goes by, you will see that more and more people will start to sell your program for you. Once that happens, your income and sales will go up all the time.

There are easy ways to find the big affiliate players in any niche.

You just have to know the ways to do it.

Once you know the process, you'll never run short of ways to find only the best affiliates

I don't care what anyone else says but THE SALES COPY MAKES THE SALE!

Forget about a quality product for now (although that it essential if you want recurring buyers). But when someone sees your sales copy, most likely a video, that is what makes them buy. They will NOT see the product until AFTER the sale is made.

By having a great sales video you will entice affiliates who will say "woah, this has a lot of potential to sell".

But you might also want your gravity to be high so more affiliates see it off the bat. So when you launch the product it won't hurt to have a couple of big guns as JV partners to give your gravity a nice jumpstart. So hit up some warriors with major lists and make a kick*** sales video and then launch your product!

Any good examples of top quality sales videos? Also what would entice somone with a large list to review or promote the product? Would a commission be good enough or would they want an upfront payment?
