Streaming video content in other countries

Hey guys,

I have a mini video e-course I give away as an incentive to join my list. Now and then I hear from subscribers in other countries who tell me they can't view them. Apparently in some areas of the world high speed access is limited or restricted. Heard from someone in London last night with the same problem.

The videos are hosted in Amazon S3 and posted on private pages on my site. Aweber sends out an email with the link to the page to watch the video.
Anything I can do to help overseas subscribers having this problem?

  • Are you making use of cloudfront on amazon aws?

That will host your vids on the nearest server to your users
    and minimise any speed issues.

BTW as far as I'm concerned....you are the one who is overseas ;0)
  • Aww, man! I was being so careful not to say "overseas" and I said it anyway, lol! Im not using CloudFront. I hear it makes the service a lot more expensive. I I tried to understand the pricing structure but I didn't get it. I know another coach Down Under though, who was spending several hundred a month.

That's probably my only option though, isn't it? I guess I'll take the plunge when I launch the paid course.
