[Help] Where's my domain name?

by Dennis Sim 5 replies
Hi Warrior,

I've a domain with Yahoo! for the past 1 and half year. I plan to transfer my domain to NameCheap.com. However, when I login to Yahoo! Small Business, I got an error:

"Sorry, there are no Yahoo! Small Business services associated with the Yahoo ID XXXXXX@yahoo.com!"

Anyone encounter this before? Would you like to share your experience?

By the way, my domain is still active and going to expire this coming Dec.

Please help my dear Warrior...

Regards,
Dennis.

Well, there could be a glitch in their system.

Have you done a WhoIs to see who owns the domain?

Did you register it for 2 years or renew it after the first year?

If you did register it for 2 years or extend it, I would contact support @yahoo.

I've checked with WHOIS and confirmed that my domain still with Yahoo!... I actually registered for first year and auto renew for the following years...

Well if you are going to transfer it make sure you keep the paper work. I canceled my domain name because I did not want to pay 34 dollars for renewal and they charged me anyway. They did not send me renewal notices like they say they did nor did they send a confirmation stating that my domain was canceled.

Do you have multiple Yahoo! domain accounts?

Otherwise, contact them. They're really the only ones who can help.

I use to have my stuff through yahoo small business, and found it a bit confusing the way they managed everything. The good news is that the domain name is still rightfully yours so a phone call should clear it all up.
