Im now 28 ,and all my friends have jobs n success in their dayjobs,,
I've applied for some jobs in but no luck yet.. as im living in asian country average day jobs pay around $300 a month,,

I did IT diploma in college..I dont know much coding stuff only I can manage is install wordpress and inserting a theme to it.
Food& shelter are ok because im living with my mom. she is always blaming me to go and find a job and progress a career,
I have lots of plans in mind building a list and market to that,, as SEO is not a permanent thing.but money is the main problem.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I would go get a regular day job. Your situation sounds desperate and making money online will not provide you with the quick stable money you need.

My suggestion is to go get any work you can and stabilize your life. While you are doing that you can work on your IM career at night and in your spare time. It took me 4 years before I ever made anything online and then a few more years after that before I could go full time.

IM just won't give you what you need in the time frame you need it. It doesn't mean you have to give up on your dream, but I think you need to go about it in a different way.

I agree with akecoop79 you need to get a job then from the income you earn take out 20-40% into IM. I can see you can install wordpress and inserting a theme to it. Then set up a service website setting up blogs for people and set packages from the cheapest to the most expensive and as for payment for your service use 2checkout to accept payment they also give option of paypal.

As for promotion use Direct SEO Traffic to submit articles, directory, bookmarks for free.

Send me a PM i am developing a High tech blog service. May be we can work together. But i will need to investigate you first.

Never give you. Remember winners never quite, quitters never win.

English isn't my fluent language but I still wrote a book and I am only 7 months into to this. Might not be the best book ever but people are reading it

I guess you are limiting yourself. In three years, if your problem is english then why don't you take a course to improve it?

I don't usually pay to much attention to this forum. I am not saying there isn't useful information. However, there are many individuals with different experiences and opinions. So it becomes a bit confusing. I rather just read a book from a well known SEO.

Certainly you have made some sells until now? If you did then you already known what you need to do. Simply focus on what is working and become more efficient.

It's all about getting top 3 places from the google search for specific words and getting backling for high trust rank websites. You can get plenty of them from social bookmarks, blog, forums etc...

It is really difficult to give decent advise to someone in your situation as I dont live in the same environments. Given you are trying to make $300 a month and given you mentioned you have built some sites why not try setting up on fiverr offering to build basic sites for $5 .. you could add a gig for $20 offering hosting also perhaps to push up your earn per client .. I assume hosting there must be cheaper than elsewhere?

The lack of paypal I guess is a problem but I am sure there are other alternatives to this? Maybe you can find someone who will act as a proxy for paypal from a different country and send you the cash?

Thats my suggestion given your restrictions..

$300 a month if you can get a good reputation on fiverr would be pretty achievable .. focus on offering a quality product there and it will take off

    Good luck )

This isn't a quick fix, you may need to get a crappy job for a bit, but here is what I'd suggest:

        1. Forget everything you've read about making money online, at least for now
        2. Take a few days to really figure out what you're good at. What can you do better than other people? Just make a list of everything you think you're really good at.
        3. Look at your list and figure out what skills people would be willing to pay you for
        4. Come up with a target market. These are the people who will pay you to do what you're good at.
        5. Find out the most effective way to market your skills to your target market. It could be as simple as having a Wordpress site and some postcards

Just remember that working for yourself, whether it's online or off, is about running a business.

        Best of luck!

First of all SEO is not a quick fix so scrap that at the moment. It's not necessary anyway. Sure, you might spend less money by getting free traffic but the amount of time spent on optimizing your site and building backlinks adds up very quickly. It's a hell of a lot easier to just go out and buy traffic because there is bucketloads of the stuff out there. The other issue with SEO is you can't scale things up when they are successful. Once you are in number one position of Google you can't go any higher. With paid traffic though you can keep scaling up and up and up because there is literally an unlimited supply of traffic out there.

SEO is just not worth the time in my opinion. There are plenty of people who will disagree with me but they are probably either selling SEO services themselves or have worked their backsides off to get their sites to where they are today.

I hate to say it ut I think the other poster is right. It sounds like you need to go and find a real job if not just to support yourself until you are making decent money online.

It is not always necessary to write articles in English or do business internationally. How about approaching small service businesses in your area which don't yet have websites i.e. plumbers, painters, electricians. Offer to build them simple wordpress sites for a nominal fee (e.g. $20 and they would have to pay their own site registration costs and hosting fees) then offer to maintain the site and write one new monthly article (in your mother tongue) for a small monthly fee.

Get a job. Without proper knowledge of English and without the strong education background that can give you a voice that other people can relate to and listen to, you won't be able to make any serious money on the web.

Start an English course. Start reading a lot of self development books. Had you invested 1 year in your English, you would be way closer to your goals.

At this point, you don't have what it takes to get ahead in your Internet Marketing career.

You need to work in your own language. Working in English for those who don't dominate the language is very difficult and you will never achieve success.

There is much competition in English, and there are big sharks. Get a product that sells in your language and works in it.

Let's face it: You live in a country where it is possible to live on a dayjob that pays $300 ...

You can't go offline in your market and sell expensive ... you will earn "normal" income and you will work your ass off for that, but ...

If you are really able to live from $300 ... why not sell to people for which this amount is pocket money! And with a little thinking (I am sure you noticed all these outsourcing WSOs and everything) ... why not start as a person who works as an outsourcer?

      Here's the plan:

      1. Get a profile on elance, odesk, guru and every single outsourcing platform you can find and spend TIME to make your profile complete! That will make you look better then 80% of the others!

      2. Decide which skill you want to start with and bit on jobs where you have to learn this skill! You will be paid to learn it! Important: The job poster wants to know one thing ... are you able to fulfill his needs! Take time and write a good proposal ... and solve his problem in words! Maybe you have to Google a solution first ... but you will learn a to with it!

      3. Get them on Skype and create rapport! You want more jobs from this person ... give 5000 % value!

      4. Once you finished the job make sure that they leave a raving review ...

      5. Get more jobs

      Rinse and repeat!

With the abbility to setup Wordpress you already can earn real money ... at least enough to earn $300! The people on the platforms have the money in hands! Just take it!

.... and PLEASE ... forget passive income untill you make solid active income! You will learn skillz that are helpfull later ... that's worth a little extra work!

My suggestion right now is keep the money and find yourself a decent job. I'm not saying this because I think you lost your chance with internet businesses, as a matter of fact, try to get a job somehow related to IT or internet business models. Go and learn the basics first, get some experience and save up to build capital.

The way i see it, you just try to go the "easy" way by venturing to "work from home" jobs. You crashed into internet business without the basic knowledge of coding a website. It also seems like you don't want to try to research, study and improve yourself and just want things to go smoothly without effort. Nothing is easy if you want to achieve something of value. Lastly, don't misunderstand my words as if I'm scolding you or something, I just want you to realize that you need to help yourself first before you ask for the help of others. improve yourself, get real-life experience and build knowledge.

Hang in there, man. My first year doing IM full time was pretty tough as well.
But my persistence pays off. I'm making a full time living with IM now.

You need to take a break for a while. Trying to make money in the "desperate mode" won't help you. Take some day off, forget about this IM thing. Once you're out of the "stress zone", come back to this thread. There are many good advice here for you to follow. JanRuehling's advice of being an outsourcer/offer services looks pretty sound to me. If you can't find job offline, then try online.

Hang in there - I didn't start IM until my 20s and now I've achieved millionaire status because of it but it does take time:

    1. Hold down a day job until you're earning at least 75% of your salary from IM
    2. Find a coach / mentor you can trust and listen (or see how they market if you can't afford their coaching)
    3. Find ONE single thing in IM that you are good at, enjoy doing and stick to it
    4. Start creating your own list and product as a matter of URGENCY

    Thanks.

That is true you should on the more broader scope of IM. Since you have been into this for such a long time you should devise new ways to work in a different way. You are just limiting yourself due to low confidence or may the times are not right for you.
Or else you should look for some full time job in your locality which could fetch you some money by the time you come out of this phase of life.

Same case here, I am trying for more than 5 years but the income online is so low that it is hard to make a living online. Everyone here are talking about get a full time job. It seems like a lot of those "make money online" thingy are fake after all...

Time to get real, time to leave "make money online" and time to get a real job.

I am 26 years old and I am out of job because I can't get job because of lack of job opportunity. So, I am doing full time make money online. I should stop now or else I will end up like this guy in this discussion.

STOP MAKE MONEY ONLINE, based on the responses in this thread, it seems that a lot of those "Make $15,000 a month", "$200 in 24 hours" or other ads are all "ADS ONLY" not real.... sigh~ Internet are full of scam.

@sdas86 ... I think most of the people that start online don't get the concept of "Make money online" ...

I make good money online and I replaced my daytime offline job within one month ... but I WORKED for the money!

For me making money online means freedom ... I want to earn money where ever I am and it worked! I moved from Germany to Spain within 3 month after I started ... but I sold my work and I never tried to trick people with spam or blackhat or whatever ... There are no tricks ... deliver value and you get paid.

Forget PASSIVE ... get ACTIVE ...

      Sorry for yelling :-D

That's actually not the case. Nobody said to abandon your IM efforts. What WAS said was that you must take care of your IMMEDIATE needs. Any business where you are making money for yourself involves time, effort, and RISK until you find something that works for you. If you have no money at all to get started and your savings is vanishing, you must start with guaranteed income first and I'm sorry to say this, but getting a job is an immediate fix to this problem.

The best advice I see here is:

    1) Go get a job. Do this first. Once the main worry is off your mind, you will have a clear head for other endeavors.
    2) Register with oDesk. They have lots of international vendors. You can easily build a good reputation if you bid on the right jobs and complete them in a timely fashion.
    3) Work hard at learning the English language. This skill will serve you well in many aspects of your online life. Once you have a good grasp of the language, you can then offer other services.

That's all for now. Good luck!

The old IM dream comes crashing down around you... Recurring theme.

That's why my advice is always to make sure you are making a decent living offline before you ever think of relying solely on IM.

    Why:
    1. It's not as easy as some would like to believe.
    2. Not everyone succeeds.
    3. It may take months or even years to make enough online to replace a traditional job.

Like you said yourself your friends are doing fine while you are not, plus they now have a few years head-start on you but...

You are lucky enough to have your Mom to help you out, concentrate on getting back on track, find a decent job and worry about IM when you are settled.

IM is a serious business which requires capital investment with a long term perspective.

Same as any other business, success is not guaranteed.

IM is not the solution to all your financial problems.

If you are desperate and down to you last $100, you must find a job.

Listen to your mother. She has your best interest at heart.

Start with any work that you can find, and you can find better jobs when you have the experience.

You can always come back to IM when you have some spare cash.

I feel for you and I wish you all the very best.

at the time when I first start IM, I know it won't be easy.
That's why I have my offline job (and luckily I love it )
So, I can pay my online cost with offline salary and now I can pay my offline cost with online income. It's all about balance.
So, for now, it will be good if you can have offline salary while you are trying to make money online.

With just $100 it would be risky to spend it on paid traffic if you don't know what you're doing but as has already been said SEO takes longer to get results but it doesn't have to take 3-6 months like some would have you believe.

It depends on the keywords and competition levels but remember that there are also many other ways to get traffic to your websites quickly.

You might like to check out the real life example on my site in my signature where I show how I got nearly 3,000 visits in the first few weeks to a brand new site just using "free" methods.

Feel free to send me a PM or get in touch while you're over there if you like and I'll see if I can help you out.

    My Advice -

    1. Learn English
    2. Create products
    3. Build a list
    4. Market to the list.

Product creation is the number one skill you can have.

Add get a mentor as well, look on the forum.

Even, thinking out loud, create some PLR, make a wso out of it, use the money to invest in a mentor .

    Hope that helps a bit.

To be honest, it sounds to me like the overriding problem you face is a lack of sufficient, consistent traffic.

SEO is increasingly a precarious business for those boosting their rankings through brute force (building links oneself). Much better, in my opinion, to focus on providing good quality, relevant content that people are only too happy to share and link to, allowing your authority and rankings to build up slowly and naturally over the longer term while you focus on driving more immediate traffic through other, more active and direct means.

On top of that, as you well know, you need to ensure you're building a list. A lot of affiliates seem to be of the mind that "they'll start building a list later when they're already earning a decent, consistent income", but that's rubbish. You need to be doing right from the start. No excuses, no ifs and buts, no reasoning it away. Unlike in the fast-food industry, drive-through traffic is seldom profitable when you're trying to sell products as an affiliate. Most visitors won't buy on their first visit to a site; you need to be capturing prospects' emails and building a relationship with them. They buy on the strength of your recommendation, and that comes from trust. Trust is earned gradually.

The reality is that you'd probably need something like 100 times or more the volume of traffic to make anywhere near the same level of income without a list as you would with one. I pulled that figure out of my arse, of course, because it's completely variable, but the principle is absolutely true.

    (1) Get set up for list-building.

    (2) Explore other means of attracting more immediate traffic, and capture it when it comes.

    (3) Don't dismiss SEO entirely, but view and treat it as a subordinate source of traffic that gradually increases naturally over time and is never taken for granted.

      Listen to this advice.

SEO should only ever be a bonus on the side. It should never be your main source of traffic.

Find something you are good at, or something you would like to learn about (and learn it), make sure there is a market willing to spend money on it, then start producing quality content, and the money will come over time.

I watched a really funny Indian movie recently called the '3 Idiots'. Despite being a comedy, it had a powerful message:

"Pursue excellence, and success will follow, pants down"
Here's a guy that did just that:

StrongLifts.com: Gain Strength And Muscle While Losing Fat

This guy is really raking in the money. He's an inspiration. Get his free weight lifting guide and read the part where he talks about how he got started making money through his passion of weight lifting. He sat down and just started writing. Plus, his first language isn't English. His English improved as he wrote more and more articles.

    Hi Don,
Sounds like you need some proper instructions in learning Internet Marketing.
Failure in doing anything first and foremost comes from
not fully understand what one is trying to learn. I don't know what your previous learning is regarding Internet marketing, but obviously there are things here that are not understood.

And also from what you are saying you have a bit of trouble with the English language and that would of course cause problems with learning as well, and as a result confusion on the subject.

If possible, it might be an idea for you to get hold of some material on how to learn Internet Marketing in your own language if the case is that you have been studying this in English only.

Even in one's native language learning problems comes about as a failure to not having understood all the words in what one is studying. Remember this what I am saying here: "The confusion or inability to grasp or learn comes after a word that the person did not have defined or understood". This is very, very important. This is one of the major problems schools have this days with their students.
The teachers do not know this datum. Going past a misunderstood word or words is the reason students loses interest in what they are studying and a host of other problems goes with it.

I guess you have also, like me, had the problem of finding someone who could teach you how to do Internet Marketing step by step, not just telling you to do this and that, but actually showing you how to do it so that you can implement what you have learned.

It can appear as oversimplifying it but really this comes down to KNOWING various things:

    - Knowing yourself (what you can do, can't do, are best at, enjoy)
    - Knowing your market (what they want, what they need, where they hang out)
    - Knowing how to reach the market (traffic, product creation, value building)
    - Knowing how to crash through barriers (mental side, thought processes, self-discipline)

    Hope this helps a little.

Build websites to local businesses, charge no more then needed to make you $300/month, try to sell support subscriptions to them for a small monthly fee and you'll be their webmaster or something like that. Offer SEO as a complimentary service, also possible monthly recurring income.

There is a thread on this forum on the next few pages called What to do if you are desparate, there should be something in there for you? IM is not something to do if you are desparate for cash, in my opinion, as your emotions will get in the way.

My suggestion would be to do something locally which would save others time, or hassle. What about ironing clothes for other people, like shirts, trousers etc. Who knows, could start a little home business.

You have IM experience its got to be worth something, contact your local seo companies and offer your self as a free lancer / va or offer your self as a free trainee. Do what ever you have to do to get your foot though the door, now why would you want to offer your self as free trainee, because logic would show what ever your doing is not working, so first admit their is a problem, then secondly start looking to address the problem, while you are having your reflective period start applying for normal jobs, part time / full time. Trust me every one has their moment, some over come it some just quit. Their is no shame in giving up, some times it is the best thing you can do, I must have tried about 15 different business before I started making any decent money.

    Hi,
Why don't you try working in freelance sites such as Odesk and Elance first to build some momentum? Given that you have studied IT, I am sure that there are many things you can offer to webmasters such as link building and SEO, and I am sure you can earn more than $300 a month over there. Then you can continue doing your sites with your free time.

    Hi,

Just in case anyone's wondering, here are countries currently not served by PayPal. There could be updates by this time.

    ASIA PACIFIC
    Afghanistan
    American Samoa
    Bangladesh
    Christmas Island
    Cocos Keeling Islands
    French Southern Territories
    Guam
    Iran
    Iraq

    Laos
    Lebanon
    Macao
    Micronesia
    Myanmar
    Northern Mariana Islands
    North Korea
    Pakistan
    Pitcairn
    Syria
    Timor-Leste

    Tokelau
    Uzbekistan

    EUROPE
    Belarus
    Georgia
    Guernsey
    Holy See (Vatican City State)
    Isle of Man
    Jersey
    Macedonia
    Moldova
    Monaco
    Montenegro

    Serbia

    AFRICA & INDIAN OCEAN
    British Indian Ocean Territory
    Cameroon
    Central African Republic
    Congo
    Ivory Coast
    Egypt
    Equatorial Guinea
    Ghana
    Heard Island and McDonald Islands
    Liberia
    Libya

    Nigeria
    Reunion
    Sudan
    Western Sahara
    Zimbabwe

    AMERICAS
    Cuba
    Haiti
    Paraguay
    Saint Vincent
    Virgin Islands

So, if these countries are not served by PayPal, they probably are served by some other Financial Services such as Western Union or Local Financial Institutions affiliated with International Service Providers such as MasterCard, VISA, Discover or Amex.

I have had no problems of paying for things by VISA in Ghana, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Macao, Lebanon, Syria ( now no longer available ) and Monaco. These are countries NOT SERVED BY PAYPAL. So I bet, where you come from, you could use MasterCard and VISA from local banks. Talk to the banks for a merchant account for your future business. Put it in your biz plans.

For someone who doesn't have PayPal or other means of paying or receiving payments, the very best thing you can do is LEARN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. AND work and be prudent.

If after 2 years, you find your location is NOT MATCHING your dreams, then what you can do is MOVE OUT to other countries that can fulfill your dreams. It doesn't have to be EUROPE, USA, CANADA, UK, NZ or AUSTRALIA.

    HINT :
-> 40% of the world's GDP are from 4 major nations - Brazil, Russia, India and China. The other 60% are shared among 120 nations.
And that 60% is dwindling so fast to 50% by 2014.
-> The world's biggest financial centre is not NY nor London. It is Hong Kong, neighbouring Macao.
-> The world's biggest exporter of electronic products is Shenzhen - neighbouring HK and Macao.
-> The world's biggest exporter of textile-related products is Dongguan. neighbouring Shenzhen, Macao and HK.
-> The world's richest per capita is QATAR. Considering opportunities, places like Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia are great places to be.

Now why NOT create a VISION for yourself, create a MISSION, create GOALS and set a PATH towards that VISION.

28 ain't so bad. My first job was at 28 and I cruised so fast that made some people dizzy. At 38, I was loaded and jet-setting. My favourite places are Paris and Cannes. At 48, I deservedly lost everything due to stupidity, ego and greed. lol. Right now I'm crawling back again. At least I have some experience to hasten things up.

So there. PayPal is NOT EQUAL TO YOUR VISION. PayPal is just a small glitch of the current moment. It has nothing to do with your life or success.

What really counts now is setting up your VISION, MISSION, GOALS and PATH.

A plan for your life. Do it passionately.
Learn as much as possible. I sincerely believe you can do it and achieve your dreams.

Since your interest is to establish your online business with passion for IM, my candid advice is that: preserve your savings balance, look for part-time off-line job in your area to allow you time to continue to build your online business further. Do not abandon your IM business, but use the rest of your productive hours to pursue as well, website building contracts from some businesses in your area. While doing these, you'll improve on your IT knowledge and IM business as well. In no time you could find yourself earning enough money to elevate your IM business and be capable of going full time. Wishing you best of luck !

I've been reading this forum for more than 3 years and I've made some affiliate blogs and simple html sites for promoting clickbank products,,but not successful. I've been backlinking and they were affecting every google update an disapper from serps.

    Thanks all;
    Don
Take the time to find out what the Penguin and Panda updates really meant for your sites you created and why they were slapped.

If I'm understanding, where your coming from correctly, you may not have had enough "high quality", useful content on your sites for Google and the other SEs to rank them or even have them in the index.

If your products were "Make Money Online" products from Clickbank, this may well have been another contributing factor to your sites disappearing in the SERPS. (my opinion only). Consider other niches.

Frankly I agree with the others that have said to get a job, regardless of what it is. This will help you gain back your confidence and self worth. Serious employers what to know what you are doing and why you haven't held a job over the last 3 or 4 years.

Get 6 months or more on that job and then continue to look for more serious work. In the meantime you can work on online opportunities in your spare time.

One of the best suggestions was to learn how to write English and speak it as quickly as you can. This will help you in your off line as well as your on line life.

I am really amazed about how many warriors are so out of touch with some of the realities of the world out of the "first world" countries, any way here are my 2 cents, by the way this is not theory, I have use this techniques in English speaking countries and in non English speaking countries:

(Mastering another language its a life time challenge, so in my perspective its a mistake trying to earn a living in a language you don't feel comfortable to, I have spent many years learning English and I still make mistakes).

    a) Go with your uncle, godfather or whoever in your family who has a business and its doing good, if you don't, go and talk to a business owner that is doing good in your area.

    b) Tell them that you are going to bring them qualify leads, that are interested in their business, you want to be paid per lead, don't ask them for a job, nobody wants to take money out of their pockets just because you need a job, but if you explain to somebody that you are going to bring clients and you want to share what you bring, most of the people (specially business owners, that know how hard is to make a sell) will agree on the deal.

    c) Tell them that every prospect you bring will arrive with a coupon, so he knows what lead are the ones you are sending him, he can track them an you can justify your efforts.

    d) Open a free Google blog, re write around 5 to 7 articles about this guys business, set up a form that collects people name, email an phone number, if you don't have any money, do this with Google documents, if you have some money start with an auto res ponder such as aweber.

    e) Get a 75 dollar coupon from Free Google advertising (PPC).

    f) Set up a PPC campaign bidding on the main activity of your client and on the add offer a discount coupon.

    g) Send the traffic to your form, collect people data.

    h) Go to the business owner with the data you have and explain them that those people are going to arrive with their coupons, call them with him to thank them about the getting the coupon and tell them to ask for the business owner name to redeem it, so he can hear what you are doing and expect what to do.

    i) Ask him for your payment.

    j) You have a business going my friend, if you have an auto res ponder you are creating a list, if he does not pay you go with another business owner of the same industry.

    Rinse and repeat.

    P.S.

If for any reason you are unable to get a $75 dollar coupon (because there are certain countries that don't have it, or they have less value, PM and I will be happy to send you one of my own $100 coupons), believe me when I tell you I understand where you are coming from, been there, done that.

Making money online is hard, if it was easy we'd all be millionaires. That said it can be achieved, but trying to do this without stable income in the background is bound for failure. What often happens is because you have no income and you're losing money, many people go on a ram page of mindless gambling to try and recover their previous losses.

I mean doing IM for so long with no income, you're literally wasting your life away, no money, long periods of time locked inside trying to make things work, you're not contributing anything towards a pension or retirement fund. It can destroy your life if you allow it to, and it becomes an obsession, to the point where you even start to neglect yourself.

IM can seriously turn into a gambling addiction.

Most Internet Marketers starts with full time job.
My suggestion to you is get a full time job.
So you have stable income to invest in your Internet business.
Understand that it may not easy for you to get your ideal job.
Anyway full time job is not what you want.
Just get any job. Better than no income.
If possible, IT or sales and marketing job because it related to Internet Marketing.
Doesn't speak or write good English you can outsource people to do it for you like Articles, blog, etc.
if you have limited income, do it bit by bit. Sooner you will reach to your success.

    GuyDon,

I feel you. I know so many others who are in the same plight as you are. Heck, I'm from an Asian country myself... I know the social pressure, and the frustrations you face. And, many internet marketers never ever succeed because of one thing.

    Here's why.

They don't have the exact steps to take. They're not focusing on the right system, because you're being distracted by all the Shiny Objects out there. SEO, Yahoo Answers, Pinterest, Facebook, Google...Ha-ha-ha.

    There's more to it!

Here's what you do. Go out there, pick a niche. Grab yourself a seat in "binge eating". Research and really pour your brains over at the library, or buy some products related to binge eating. Create a solution for these people.

Start building a freaking list. There's nothing else more lucrative than having your own assets. Then, market to that list!

That's all. That's all that is needed from you.

It might your next email. It might be your next effort. It might be your next sale. It could be anything... And my million-dollar buddies agree:

It's just that ONE thing that's keeping you away from success.

Are you going to give up? Or, are you going to find what you're lacking, and make a breakthrough?

    Hi GuyDon,

Just to add a little to the thread..I think you get the whole learn the English language part and get a job, its been well documented. But getting a job is going to free up your mind to think clearly..how? You might think well if I'm working I will have less hours to spend on the computer working on ways to make money from IM. Well having an income to help with bills and actually save money is going to free up your mind to think clearly and not think desperately. An hour of clear action to your goals is better than something that is done in desperation several hours a day.

Bottom line is you will relieve stress and things will become more clear to you and you will be able to get more value and you will be able to give more value! Good luck to you and stay strong and take action!

    Well,

I'm sorry to say this but if you put in 3 years or 5 years like someone else who mentioned that in this thread and you are still not even making at least 1k per month online then you probably don't have the right attitude or mindset.

Believe me or not, I started in Nov 2010, exactly when I joined this forum. With 0 knowledge on IM whatsoever. And I was 20 years old at that time and doing my college.

I made my first $100 in the first 2 months. And constantly made more than $3000 per month from my 6-8th month into IM.

Now I make enough money for anybody to live happily in any country of the world.

But I gotta tell you, even with my college (believe me my college eats up a lot of my time for the studying), still I spent most of my time in front of the computer in the beginning.

It was winter holiday at some point. I was stack in my room 16 hours a day in front of the computer for 4 weeks, no joke.

Now I let people work for me to save my time but when you begin you literally have to do everything yourself.

If you aren't prepared to sacrifice that much and you don't have that kind of determination you will keep failing even after 10 years.

So get your attitude adjusted. Think positively and instead of writing these negative posts get to work. Work until you literally fall asleep. One day it will all pay out.

If my Amazon associates commissions proof can give some hope to people who still believe IM is all fake then let it be:

You're probably thinking too large. Think of very easy targetable SEO websites, even if they'll only make you a conversion a month. What is your SEO strategy? What is your keyword generation strategy?

I would advise to start off something really small and make $10 a day. You can write articles in your native language, do virtual assistant work, etc.

But first, make sure you understand the work you're doing . If your knowledge is off, so will your profits..

The easiest and fastest money you can make is by doing article writing. There is so much work. You just need to build your reputation. There is an article writing market for even not perfect english. Of course these article writing jobs will pay less. But I would seriously suggest that you join freelancer.com and bid for article writing. Soon you will be amazed with the amount of work you have. I did it for an experiment and it was successful. In fact i did write a single press release for $30 one day. But of course this is job and not a business. I want to develop internet business, therefore, i write for my own websites now. But believe me, there is money to be made on Freelancer.com.

You won't give IM the attention it needs until you appease your immediate need for income. This immediate need should be satisfied with something other than IM, as in getting a job. Once you do this, you'll be able to focus time on IM and rather than "getting rich quick" you'll start to slowly build an online business that can end up being a substantial amount of your earnings.

sorry to hear that bro, i feel you... but heres your advantage: you live in a low cost country. use that as leverage. If i were you, i would try to offer mobile or SEO, design, or website service in your local area of businesses. Everyone needs a website, design and SEO all within 10 mile radius, you just have to get out there and work it. So basically, make soem business cards for under $10usd and wear something professional and your good to go bro! good luck

    Hi Guydon

To be honest with you there is quite a lot of self pity in your thread entry and I doubt that I need to point out that most people across the globe have difficulties and challenges to overcome. Here I think is the beginning and end of your IM problems.

    Here we go.

Want to succeed online? Thinking that not enough money, language barriers, backlinking or anything else for that matter is the reason why you aren't succeeding?

    That is incorrect.

You attitude to IM is what you must work on first if you want success. Who is going to believe in you, your content and your brand if you don't believe it yourself? Not me.

I understand that you are in some financial difficulties and living with your mother may not be helping.... Yes you have some challenges but nothing that cannot be overcome I think.

For as long as you look to outside sources to solve your Im problem you will come up short, again and again.

Do you think that successful IMers blamed their circumstances for their lack of success online? For a while maybe, but somewhere down the road they changed. Their whole thought process, feelings and outlook on what needed doing and how it was going to be achieved.

Are they not instead resourceful in finding ways to make things happen for them?

You said " I need a plan, Warriors." Here is one.

Stop looking to other people to tell you what to do next online. It is regressive thinking and you will continue to come up short in all areas if you don't break that pattern. It is absolutely crucial for you to get over your personal mental blocks; they are what is really holding you back.

I contribute to this forum on a regular basis these days, and quite right too, it has been hugely beneficial to me in recent months. You can literally pick up nuggets of info at will, just when you need them most.
What can we really do to change our financial fate online when, no matter what we seem to try, nothing works for us?

Well I spent months making nothing. I bought into a series of products and made nothing but $0.56 Amazon sales on a product I wasn't even promoting. I worked tirelessly, desperately trying to make some affiliate sales.

Slowly but surely my resolve wore down. I became increasingly frustrated, angry and even began to question my intelligence! Was it me? Was I the problem?

When I first began online it didn't occur to me that I wouldn't make money. I bought a product, followed the instructions to the letter, naively presumed I would make thousands and made nothing. I bought a second product, same results. Then I got into the deathly cycle of buying one product after another, after another. All with no financial results, working like a mule.

Where was I in all this? Had I lost my mind? I was going stir crazy, trying to fix the problem with a new product. Insanity is its name.

So, if you are one of the millions not making money, not knowing what you need to do next, relating to what I have just spoke about, feeling completely isolated with IM, angry at all those products that promised so much but delivered so little; read on........

There was a famous Chinese Philosopher named Lao Tzu, and he once said:

"If you cannot find what you seek after searching everywhere, then what you seek is already in your possession."

Okay, I hear you say....And what?

    What is your magic number? $100? $1000? $10,000? $100,000? $1,000,000?

What do you think you need to make money online? What is it that you don't already have in your possession that you think is going to make all the difference in your IM business?

    It might be:
    A big email list
    A ton of traffic
    Joint Ventures with successful IM's
    Money for paid Ads
    More knowledge and skills
    Time
    More money
    Coaching
    Another product
That one piece of luck to come at the right time, now!
    Etc
    Etc
    Etc

Well first up. If this is something like your thought process then that is fine, for now.
Sure, if you have zero experience then more knowledge and skills are going to be beneficial, as would coaching.

Who wouldn't like more traffic and a massive list?
    That is ok too.

But the thought process that is telling you "I need this, I need that," It is this thought process that is stopping your progress right now.

Relying on things you do not currently have in your possession to make money online is a tricky and painful road to travel, and one I don't recommend. I was convinced that if I had A, B and C I could make all my money in D. Frankly that is a load of crap.

Do you think that successful Internet Marketers use their lack of resources as an excuse? Maybe for a while, maybe not at all. Either way, at some point they decided to take FULL responsibility for their business and say:

"You know what? It is time to become resourceful and stop relying on outside conditions to change the state of my business."

I am going to stop buying an array of products, I am going to stop saying to myself, if only this, if only that.

Instead I am going to specifically identify the exact needs of my business and create systems and strategies to meet those needs through my own resources, making me hit my target in the shortest possible time.

How do I know that the above sentence is the exact targeted approach we need to make money online? Well, having run a successful offline business for many years, I needed to rely on my own resources, systems and strategies to make that business run at a profit. This business approach is true whether we are talking online or offline. It is a business policy and procedure.

But so alluring is Internet Marketing that I did not realize this until a few months ago, even with a ton of direct business experience. I bought into the dream of running an online business by the side of a pool, the jet set life style. It sucked me in proper. Business principles and methodologies were neatly packed away in a box in my closet. It was the 'next product' that was going to be my online salvation. Or so I thought.

One day several months ago I awoke from my IM trance. It was like being jolted into reality. Everything became crisp and clear to me. One night I had gone to bed churning over my IM exploits, wondering what I was going to do next, almost at the point of giving up for good, pretty much broken, destitute and lacking any creativity.

The next morning, I awoke full. Everything was so obvious to me, I laughed out loud," why not apply the principles of my offline business to that of my online one?"

At this moment I stopped looking to other people, products, services, skills, aptitudes, coaching etc. etc. etc. and started looking at my business with guile and perspective. Then the whole game changed.
When I asked you what your magic number is I do so cause it is an important question for you to ask yourself.

Do you know I didn't even have a target when I started out! I just thought to myself, millions. It wasn't written down anywhere, just a lose thought bopping around in the back of my mind.

How can we hit a target if we don't have one! Rule number one!

Originally I decided to write this thread about self-confidence. This strength is completely indispensable in IM. If you need anything at all, forget money, coaching, skills. You need self-confidence.

Without self-confidence we look at other people and outside resources to help us get to where we want to be. Without self-confidence we can be fearful of taking risks, challenging ourselves and others. Without self-confidence we are dead in the water.

If you are not making money online, right now, you need self-confidence with the desperation of a drowning man! Because without it you are a sinking ship.

If you believe this to be true, if it feels right and makes sense to you then this may be the biggest step forward you have taken in your IM career for some time.

Just for now will you consider forgetting about what you need to become successful online? Instead find ways to build yourself up and generate that self-belief that you know you have somewhere deep down inside you. We all have it, every man, women and child. It just needs uncovering, right?

    Some simple suggestions:
    1. Keep a track of your victories online, we all have them - Maybe it's getting your email list form 5 people to 10 people. Maybe it's getting clicks on your ads. Maybe it's making a sale. Maybe it's building your first Wordpress site. I don't know what yours are but find them, write them down, tell your family and friends and see the progress.

    2. Your successes in life - What have you done well in your life? Been a good parent, held down a job? Helped someone in need? Make a list of the things you have achieved in your life and remind yourself that you are a capable human being that is full of potential.

    3. Take action each day. Do one thing each day outside of your comfort zone. Confidence is taking action after all.

    4. Ask for help, and keep asking for help. If you have difficulties then get clarity around it a.s.a.p.

    5. Small achievable goals every day. Have your next day's goals ready BEFORE you go to bed at night.
    6. Have you got a vision? No? Get one, quickly, that is flexible.

    7. Outsource. Don't run the whole show yourself. If you have never outsource before then do so as soon as possible, in fact make it a priority, put it on tomorrow's to do list.

    8. Do you need $300 to get something done that you know will drive your business forward but don't have the money? Get the money, earn it, borrow it if you must (optional of course,) but get the money and push you and your business to the next level.

With confidence you believe in yourself and your own abilities
With confidence you believe your work will pay off - you truly believe it!
With confidence you will work harder
With confidence you will be resourceful and not rely on resources that you think will get you there
With confidence you realize that you do not need other people to tell you what to do next in your online business.

This is not just a general confidence but confidence in your ability to succeed in your online business.

Now, your confidence, risk taking and sheer tenacity must be reflected in all your online work and through all of your content, videos, articles, threads, newsletters etc. etc.

If you don't believe in yourself and what you offer you won't get others to believe in you and what you offer. If this remains unchallenged within you then every action you take will most likely lead to the wrong destination.

    So, as Lao Tzu said:
"If you cannot find what you seek after you have searched everywhere (products, services, money, coaching, traffic, lists,) then what you seek is already in your possession (the self-belief and self-confidence to make your business work to bring the rewards you want.) It is just a matter of uncovering it.

    Hey GuyDon,

Many people have advised you what to do. What I am going to say here might not be very pleasing. I will just say one thing—stop whining and start working.

    Think & Ponder:
    * How many hours did you actually work in the past X years; X months?
    * Did you try to find the right area for you based on your expertise?
    * Did you create a plan and then execute it? How much effort did you REALLY put in?
    * How long did you try to execute the idea/plan? Did you have the conviction and perseverance?

Okay. Enough of retrospect. I will give you a simple PLAN to execute. You will have to work on it—really work. I don't know your location, but it will work for anyone, anywhere.

SELL website development to your local businesses.

It is a very easy business to start. Many people are doing it without the technical know-how. You said you can install WordPress. So you can do it all on your own.

There is no reason for someone to fail if one puts in the effort. Go out and find local companies/businesses who need a website. Offer them a package—a ready website—for a fee. Keep meeting new businessmen till you find a client. Prepare your PACKAGE as a cheap and affordable website. Charge $25-95 for your service, plus the cost of domain ($15) and one year hosting ($40-50). You can justify the cost by giving them PREMIUM GPL themes that cost $50-100 (WooThemes, StudioPress, etc) for free.

You can also offer your service for FREE. Signup as an affiliate for a web hosting (Fatcow pays you $100 per sign-up in 1 month; others take 2 months) Ask your client to register his domain and hosting using your affiliate link. Once they do it, create them a WordPress site (1-2 hours work).

Tell your prospective client about the TWO packages. Make interesting presentations and print brochures for prospective clients. Be as professional as you can. Let them choose. Help your clients and provide all the support that you can. Ask for recommendations. Think of more value-add services that you can offer.

DO NOT return back to this forum unless you have met IN PERSON 100 local businesses that could benefit from a website but did not have one. Let me know your qualifications and location. I would be happy to help you out IF (and ONLY IF) you go out and meet businesses. Before asking for help, you will have to prove to me that you actually went out and met local businesses. Keep a log of local businesses that you visit, including date, time and person whom you talk to in person.

    Best of luck!

    Here's a simple formula

You want to make $300 per month.

Search who is making $300 per month.

Who is paying him $300 and what he does to earn that $300.

Now, learn that skill in next few months.

Get the work and earn $300.

Thats the simplest method i can give you.

I really can feel your pain. It's hard to explain to other people what we are doing.

That being said, here are my 2 suggestions to you:

    1. Start offering your services to other people. A lot of people need backlinking service, article writing service, wordpress setup, etc. You can help other people first and get paid for it nicely while building your sites at the same time.

To reach your $300 goal, you need to make $10/day which is totally doable. If you're talking about Fiverr, you are only talking about selling 2-3 gigs.

After reading this forum for 3 years, I do believe you have some skills that you can offer to people (hope I'm not wrong on this)

    2. Get a day job. Do the online marketing at night. This works well to calm your parents. However, use the money that you get from your day job for your IM investment.

I personally would take route #1.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hello there. Focus first in saving money before doing what you really want. See, we always have the time to learn anything we want to, just take up some courage to do these things. Saving money is an easy task but requires a lot of effort and concentration. Get a regular job, save money for years then do what you really want.

These are your problems (according to YOUR words, not mine):

You can't make $100 per month consistantly
Your sites are not good in Google's eyes
You don't want a day job
    You're 28
You are living with your mom
    You can't write in English
You can't use PayPal or Fiverr

    These are your skills:

You have been reading the Warrior Forum for three years now
    You have an IT diploma
You already know how to create affiliate blogs and simple html sites
    You are familiar with SEO

    This is your current situation:

From this information alone, I can see you can do a LOT to fix this yourself with the proper direction, check this out:

You're saying that you don't want a job but you're willing to use something like Fiverr which means you're OK making money proving services, right?

    Here's a plan for you:

You can register a domain for under $10 usd.
Get a decent annual hosting plan for $89 usd (if you use the 25% for Hostgator)

And this is what you do:

Create a site where you provide website building services for independent professionals and do not make it complex.

    Here's a breakdown:

Create your about me page. Don't say you're in a bad situation, say stuff related to website developing, place a picture there, brand yourself.

A portfolio page. If you don't have anything to show, just throw a bunch of wordpress themes thumbnails there, don't let this stop you.

A services page where you provide fees for everything you can do. Do not say dumb things like "request a quote".

Man up instead, you don't have time to be messing around with that non-sense attraction marketing crap, publish your fees and whoever calls you, they already know what the deal is so less hassle for both parties.

And finally a contact form. Provide everything you can to let people reach you. Not just an e-mail, not just a phone, provide everything. E-mail, skype, if you aren't comfortable providing your address mention your preferred location, everything.

    Here are your actionable steps:

Create the site and don't worry too much about making it perfect, the simpler the better.

As soon as you have figured out prices for your services, create a list of prospects (doctors, arquitects, real state agents) focus just on independent professionals (less hassle than dealing with a company where everyone wants to be creative and you never get things done).

Once you're done with that list, go out there and start visiting everyone near your house (it will be easier for you to get files and stuff).

If you're shy, you can create a brochure with a special discount and say you're going to take projects in a first come, first served basis.

Print as many copies as you can and start delivering them in your area.

As for your site goes, use an aweber form and mention that when they sign up, they can get special discounts and promotions and set a 5 to 7 campaign pushing offers.

Ask for 50% payment to start working and 50% at completion.

    BOOM.

When you start getting some more stability, decide if you scalate your offline business or get back to Internet Marketing.

Wish you the best, good luck!
