Advice for vendor - going from traditional sales to affiliate sales

Hi Guys & Gals,

There are a gazillion training packages and ebooks etc for people wanting to excel as affiliates.

We are launching a product shortly as a vendor (most likely clickbank) rather than traditional selling and would like to do it right the first time.

We have spent 2 years creating the product, it already selling (without affiliates) and has a good name it its field, it is not a "written in a week ebook" like most of the rubbish on there and we would therefore like to make sure we invest time in rolling it out correctly, learning from people who have already done it.

We would like to know what is available (training material/book/mentoring wise) in addition to what can be found on Clickbank or other payment providers websites.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
raapeti

I don't think you would need much training in this regard...What you will need through is a strong affiliate resource page and some numbers to lure new affiliates in. Also, if you want some quick results, it's better to directly approach other vendors in your niche or contact affiliates promoting other products similar to yours.

I agree with ryanman. You should look into partnering with an established clickbank vendor in your vertical. You can tap into their experience and obviously their relationships with affiliates.

Thanks guys, I guess that is what I mean.

It would be nice to find tried and tested information on :

The best way to contact vendors and come up with proposals. What is important for prospective partnerships. What affiliates look for in products. Keeping affiliates motivated etc.

Thanks for your ideas, they have been noted :-)

    Cheers,
