How can I keep one post consistently on my main front page of Blogger.com, without it being sent to archives? Do I simply re-post it, maybe with another post of fresh content and ping again?

I will be using WP in due course, but I just need to get something rolling quickly.
Thanks

Hmm, not sure - I'm sure there is an easy way to do it, but I guess you could always put an earlier date on your other posts so that they go behind your current post.

    Hi Ian...

In the layout section of your blog, you can click the "add a gadget" button down the right hand side.. this will allow you to add a text box gadget...

Enter your post into here with the rich txt editor..

Then you can then drag and drop this text gadget onto the section that says blog posts... your blog posts will move down a step and this text box gadget will be situated above your blog posts job done.

    Peace

Why not change to Wordpress where you have total control.

Takes less than 30 min from a standing start.

I was wondering this same thing. I didn't think you could drag a gadget over there. That is good to know.

I prefer blogger, it is simpler. I guess I am just more familiar with Blogger. You can customize blogger to be almost anything you need. Just need to know how.

Thanks for the post. Helps me.

Thanks Cassidy, yes I have the WP facility on my Fantastico/Hostgator, and did venture into getting into the basics of it at the end of last year - with the help of "blog inferno" and a couple of other ebooks

Will def get back to WP when other elements of my site are on auto, during which period, blogger.com just gives me a quicker shortcut for the time being.

However, if there are any views warning against this strategy - I'm all ears ! ((hmm, got me thinking again now!!)
