A Few Years Back I Faked A Bigfoot Sighting

And no I'm not joking. My reason for telling you guys about this is when I did it I learned a very valuable lesson that I think I could translate into big money in the paranormal niche and I wanted to get your thoughts. Anyway, I set up a website and within a week of writing a fake story and posting the video I had 30,000 hits to that site and wasn't even in affiliate marketing at the time. I could kick myself now. The point is that people love anything paranormal and mysterious and will click the crap out of it. Does anyone here think this could be monetized? Here's the video(and I'm still not making any money on sending you guys here).

    You could split the footage and only show part of it, then say the rest must be bought ? LOL. I wouldn't advise lying to people though ..

    Just use some sort of ads. I'm sure there's plenty of gear you could find that you could become an affiliate for.

    Create a site based on "your" account () and others...

    Maybe even sell a guide on how to track a bigfoot lol

    As someone who's genuinely interested in whether yetis exist or not I to be quite frank, find this to be disgusting and feel that this is exactly why many people hate IM'rs and our industry. Wish I could downvote this thread.

    I think you guys are misunderstanding me. I'm not wanting to market fake sightings. I'm wanting to create a paranormal site of sightings that people have already put on the web to make as a destination site for people interested in the topic. This was just something I did a long time ago and never tried to make any money off of it
