After reading some good reports here, I'm going to start using Fiverr. My first
one will be to try to get my SEO spot on. To tell me if I'm doing it wrongand some suggestions on how to do it better. Can anybody suggest what sort of Fiverr guy would do this? How would he describe himself?
It would be very helpful if anybody could give some hints on what to look for and what to look out for LOL

I wouldn't waste my time doing things for people for $5. It's just counter productive unless you have a team of workers who do it for you.

Not to mention out of the $5 you get, you have to pay fees that leave you with less than $5... Good luck with making $30,000/month with that mate.

      good advice...

Fiverr is good for pumping up your social media.....while a lot of the "followers" may not be real, it usually gives you a buffer to pick up real people (i.e. twitter 2k limit)

Hi, I use Fiverr to do article, press release, Doc submission. Normally I like the top 10 or top 20 site submission instead of giving you hundred or thousnd submission, and normally those submission are worthless.

I also use Fiverr for social media. I buy facebook likes, google +1's and sometimes youtube views... it helps, but I would never by backlinks from fiverr.

You perhaps haven't seen, Tommy, but since Google's "Penguin update" the forum's full of threads from people whose sites have disappeared from Google's SERP's because they've recently done this and/or used other, very similar "backlinking services". Literally, dozens and dozens of them.

On no account use Fiverr to buy backlinking services (or try to do anything else that produces the same sort of backlinks as the ones typically offered there).

Fivver is cheap outsourcing but you have to be careful of choosing. However, you might find someone who works for $5 and quality. use the search keywords of fiverr and look on the rating. I always use fivver to hire some design stuff. Some works are terrible. Sometimes I am lucky and get quality work.

I don't like fiverr - very poor communication, usually low quality as well.

have to agree with all the above, fiverr is good for design work, social media and few minor bits and peices! as for seo, i don't know any marketers who have found a good service on fiverr! and as already stated they can do more harm than good!

Unfortunately you have to think of the old saying!

The people offering backlinking or $5 are playing to the uneducated naive marketers.
The links are mostly junk, and usually never get indexed.

Don't throw out Fiverr with the bathwater! There are some very good uses for it, and it's growing like crazy!

If you need to make money, put yourself out there and start all the gigs you can think of (they're free to set up). Video is very popular.

Fiverr sounds so cheap - only $5 - but there are now upsale tools. You can add more features for $10 or $15 or multiple purchases of the original $5 gig. People can give you additional tips by purchasing your tip gig, too.

It's not only limited to five bucks, period.

Look at bestoffiverr.com and fiverrlicious.com for lots of great fiverr information, advice, tips, how to promote, examples of those who are doing well on it.

It all depends on where you are in the grand scheme of things (whether or not you're a Big Player already or just getting started), what you have to offer, how skilled or creative you can get, and how you market yourself. It's a great deal of fun if nothing else.

I agree with not using Fiverr for backlinks. Been there, done that and got garbage in return.

I've tried using Fiverr for Traffic Geyser video submissions and saw little response.

I recently bought a social bookmarking gig and saw a slight increase in traffic and some actual human clicks on the ads on my site, but nothing earth shattering.

I don't know why nearly every WSO lately recommends Fiverr for SEO. They must know something I don't because Fiverr gigs haven't done much for me.

Beyond SEO, who can say? I suppose it all depends on what you order. Some of the service gigs (voiceovers, graphic artists, etc.) might be worthwhile.

If you're trying to use Fiverr to make money try to differentiate yourself from what everyone else is doing. Forget all the automated link generation because everyone is trying to sell that. Think of something really original and useful and then look how the most popular gigs are selling themselves and repeat their sales technique.

Thanks everybody who posted. I will definitely never use Fiverr for SEO. Thanks for all the warnings. A lot of you have said it can be used for social media. Some are for it and some are against doing it i.e not genuine followers. I'll research the archives here and see what I find out. Thanks again.

trnz, the issue with fake followers is that so many people and companies -- even Fortune 500 companies -- do it that it seriously devalues the Twitter brand.

Heck, there are high-priced PR firms in New York who charge their clients a fortune to obtain targeted followers -- then turn around and outsource that work to Fiverr or the Phils for a few dollars.

You probably don't care much about Twitter's brand nor do I, but I believe they're about to make a move that will eliminate fake followers. Personally I would avoid the Fiverr social media gigs as well -- no need to be a dolphin in the tuna net.

I agree with you, apart from possibly the words "after a while", Mike. It seems from a large number of very recent posts/threads here that they might actually penalize your site rather quickly.

To me, it's kind of scary that even now, people are still buying mass automated backlinks (I don't suggest that all backlinking services advertised on Fiverr comprise "mass automated backlinks", of course), in the light of the Penguin update: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...ml#post6195942

Totally agree with Alexa. trnz...I wouldn't recommend using Fiverr for the main SEO of your website, specially after the latest update. Fiverr would be helpful on your 2nd tier links, indexing and giving more power to your 1st tier links, and buying fans, likes, views, etc. Also, various other tasks as graphics and else. Better spend money on good quality links even if it is more $$$. Panda's eyes see as less is better as long as it is relevant. Good luck!

Hi, i enrolled in fiverr but I can tell you that before you can see good results you have to spend much time.

Then you have to do a lot of publicity before you can see an order because you have plenty of competition and also you don't have positive feedback so it will be more difficult because there are people who have your same service but have a lot of feedback.

I personally do not recommend Fiverr, but then maybe i'm wrong. You can do it if you have time to waste.

Totally agreed all of you, from my real experience, servie that they offered is useless. It's not only about 5 dollars, but also let you down, hurt your feeling ......
