Review Site - Link to Amazon AND the manufacturer?

I am building a review site for a product that can be purchased from amazon OR directly from the manufacturer.

The manufacturer has a much higher commission % so obviously I'd like visitors to buy from there however I'd like to include amazon reviews on the site.

The amazon reviews would be credited and would link back to AZN with my affiliate link. So I'd have a Buy From Amazon link and also a Buy from Manufacturer link.

Is there any rule against this? If I use Amazon reviews on the site am I limited to only linking to Amazon?

I checked the TOS but didn't see anything that addressed this. Anybody know?

Pretty sure it doesn't go against any TOS as far as I know... though it may not increase your conversions. I'd go with one checkout option... whichever you decide (Amazon or the manufacturer). Having both may just confuse the visitor and have them click neither. Can test both as well (perhaps one for a month, the other for another month, and see which is better).

Just because the manufacturer pays better doesn't mean you will make more with them. Amazon converts traffic to sales and also pays you for other items ordered, even if they have nothing to do with why the visitor went there in the first place.

Well I don't want to assume where my visitors would prefer to buy from so I'm thinking about starting with two buying options but they'd be on separate sections of the page. Then I can see which option converts better.

The page would look something like this:
    Product Info Section
Link to Manufacturer at the bottom of the section

    Customer Reviews
    Link to Amazon

    Technical Information
    Link to Manufacturer

There's a lot of info I want to put on one page so the Buy links would be pretty spread out, there wouldn't be two buy links placed side-by-side.

I would change your approach and offer 3 different products for the same result. If the Amazon supplied product pays better commission, find satisfied customers on forums or blogs in your niche. Ask for a testimonial and include that is your "Best recommendation" product.

    Just a thought.

I would need a really high commission percentage to go with non-amazon links over amazon. They just convert so damn well and people might buy unrelated items just by browsing, kinda tough to do on a sofa website (or whatever niche).

You also boost your amazon commission percentage by selling more items, so if you move sales from amazon to external you might lose an overall percentage for ALL your amazon sales which would be a huge drop.
