Well, since Apple owns the trademark, why don't you just jot them a quick note to their legal department and ask them?

It's a trademark. A very famous trademark. You can get a cease and desist, have it taken away from you, or they could just sue you.

You can do anything you want, but you will never be able to keep those domains you just bought. They're Apple's trademarked terms.

Wise decision - unless of course you have hundreds of thousands of $$$ to pay lawyers and legal cases..

It depends would be the correct answer. But like others said, I wouldn't bother.

Ask for a refund from your registrar. You may be in the trial period and can get your money back.

You can always use other name that is more general. Trademark issue only will give you headache in the future.

    iPhone4ssucks.com

    so is..

    microsoftsucks.com
    facebooksucks.com
    applesucks.com
    nflsucks.com
    etc. etc. etc.

That's a perfectly legal domain, regardless of trade-mark. However you'd have to make the site about your freedom of speech.. No ads, and there's a list of other things you'll have to avoid and do.

I dont think those will be illegal as non of them are officially released by Apple.

To be brutally honest: it absolutely doesn't matter what YOU think. (Especially, when your thinking is wrong...)

The only relevant answer is: what the laws and regulations say about it.
In legal matters our personal opinion has zero relevance.

As lawyers would say, it depends. Generally, registering and using domain names
to make money off of their trademark namesakes isn't allowed.

Especially if it is a .com, there is a method to resolve domain-trademark disputes
even if two parties are in different parts of the globe. It is in your contract with
      your registrar.

If you are selling stuff for them, I am not sure if this is allowed.

If I were you, I would just ask their legal department to see if it is allowed. Better to be safe the sorry later for some sort of a legal action against you.

Probably because they're too long for Apple to care, or Apple hasn't found them
yet. If they find yours, though, others doing it doesn't necessarily excuse you.

I had a domain with facebook in it purchased last year.
Few months ago received an email from the people at facebook telling me to give it up if I didn't want a lawsuit.

    Hello

I just got here and joined up today. One of the first posts I read concerns trademark infringements by use of registered names in domain names.

I must say I was a bit surprised at this post. I am not a trademark expert but I understand that the use of such a registered mark inside a domain name, except as stated previously for review sites such as Facebooksucks.

I am a Microsoft Partner and I cannot use Microsoft in the business or domain name or anywhere except for as explicitly stated in the usage agreement.

iphone5.com is in trouble with Apple. Do google search on iphone5 lawsuit.

In otherwords DO NOT BE A TRADEMARK INFRINGER
