They just don't get it.

So you are right, no money is needed but a little does help.

The hardest part for most is getting started. We can give ourselves a hundered reasons not to start, including that we don't have any money.

So true, I started with $0 and began earning money by offering services and sharing information that I know of to people that wanted it. It is possible to make money from nothing, just gotta setup a plan and just do it, and also stay with it.

I was able to "make money with no money"... but I do have the skills. I started out with writing articles for other website owners while saving up and learning the ropes of internet marketing.

I started making money online without spending a dime of my own money. It was nice to get paid without having to dish out any money. Once I did make a little money, I started to reinvest a little back into the method I was using and other methods to make more.

I believe time and money are deeply related. Money makes things happen faster (if deployed correctly)... and in many cases, like you buying a plane ticket, it's really easy to know how to deploy it. In the case of being a business newbie, often it's difficult to know what to spend it on. The good news is that if time and money really are a system, then you can make up for not having money by over-compensating with time. And that is the truth. If you work 12 hours a day on your business for a few years, you might find yourself with a couple bucks.

Money is needed to make money, it's a universal rule that one need money to make money
But it doesn't mean you can't earn money with out no money.
And
especially in Internet Marketing, one can really start without any investment.
When I started IM, I had money BUT apart from Domain registration and few extra bucks for backlinks, I didn't invest more until I started making serious money.

You need money to make money.

You can start with no money but after you start making even a small amount of money from your skills then you will reinvest the money you made to make more money.

Making money is easy, but have to forward with a right step !!!

Just see broker jobs: property brokers, used car brokers, mining good brokers. They make money without money.

I want to thank you for your insight! I have been blogging for the last 6 years or so while serving in the military... which left me VERY little time to provide any reasonable amount of content. Then after being deployed, and not having access to the internet for over a year... I lost it all.

Needless, to say, I just got out of the Army a few weeks ago and I'm trying to get back into it. I have created another WordPress site, added some affiliate links, utilized a squeeze page, and setup a mailing list on MailChimp to get me started.

I did all of this this afternoon, after work...

After all of that... I then found this forum while looking for ways to promote it. (btw, your post was the first one I read) So I decided to signup and see what all these folks are saying...

But I have to be honest and say that your advice seems to be a little open ended...

While these are certainly a great place to start, they alone, aren't going to generate any income. A person would need to set in place some form of monetization AND more importantly get people to the site. While writing a ton of "quality" content can build your search traffic, it is extremely slow, and most people would give up before it ever paid off.

That said, I still agree with the fact that you CAN make money with little or no money. But it takes a lot more effort and patience than your post insinuates.

Eventually, you do reach a point where time=money.

It's just that, for folks not making any money yet...
Time does not equal money. It simply equals wasted

Money really isn't the end-all and be-all of everything. Don't get me wrong money is important for various reasons. It's a storage of value. We use it as a go inbetween when we can't trade the item that we currently possess directly for what we want. If we were able to do that, we would be bartering.

What really distresses me about the current economic situation is that more and more people are starting to think in terms of money rather than in terms of value. The value that comes out of your head that ends up in a particularly insightful e-book is just as valuable as the money that's in your pocket. Like I said earlier money is simply a store of value.

If we as a whole could change our mindset from the "money is the most important thing" perspective that the mass media and in general the world is trying to perpetuate towards us, we could start seeing greater opportunities then the ones that are solely in front of our faces.

So when I see questions like "how can I create something from nothing?", I'm inclined to say you can't. There is no such thing as nothing and no one here live solely in a vacuum. We all have intrinsic value just by existing and posses a unique perspective as well as unique experience that allows us to create value from ourselves..

So I think a better question to ask would be, how can I create value from mysel6f?

I am starting with zero money now, and from what I read on this forum, I can start working on IM with no investment. I can create a blog for free, promote it for free and became an affiliate for free. It can be done if you work smart and put effort.

Making money online with NO money IS possible, but if you don't want to sit in front of your computer 24/7, then sooner or later you'll have to spend some.

Outsourcing is inevitable when your business takes off, so if you are making money and don't want to re-invest, then you don't own the business, but it owns YOU, since you have to sit there and baby-sit everything.

Very encouraging post for those who want to earn but not enough to invest. This is how, you like to see the world. Everything is here actually and you need to pick that up with your effort and smartness.

It's not impossible, but it's not really practical either.

Sure you can post blogs and provide information and run manual linking campains, but that could take weeks/months to start generating any income.

Instead, you can fast track your success, pay a few bucks and get results faster. It all depends on you.

So, sure it's possible to make money without investing any money.... but I have never met a successful Internet Marketer who doesn't invest in their own product.

Those who know what they are doing, will also know the best way to get a return on their investment.

That is how i started: Made money with Yahoo Answers and Squidoo which allowed me to invest in websites and other tools to make more money! But i started with ZERO.

all you need is

1. Rich content (informative)
2. Be honest to your audience and write your own stories so that people feel close to you.
3. Expose your website to as many platforms as you can (such as article, social media and etc)

that's how it works

and of course there is no harm to buy traffic. In fact, it boost up the traffic to your site.

It's very true.
Taking action is always the first step. However for some people it's very difficult to do.
Fear of failure will often prohibit someone from taking even the first steps towards making money online, especially if financial risk is involved.

However, with IM especially, assuming your not fronting hundreds of dollars to drive traffic, it can be very low risk with high rewards.

Step back and say,

If I fail, what is the worst that can happen ?

Hint ~ Learning.

I am one real proof that it is way possible to make money without having to spend a single dime for it. I did it through offering services of all sorts and here I am 5 years after still giving good service for every client I have.

No regrets at all! Although, I am contemplating to be in IM at least I can earn passive income.

Yes I agree that a little money does help - 37Signals got $10million investment from Amazon Founder Bezos in 2006 so that helped them a little ;-)

It can be EASY just like this thread

1) Start with a Catchy thread title that has a psychological hook (ie., fits the target audience's needs)

2) Engage the reader in a conversation once they click your link (again, like this thread)

3) Offer 2 simple tips that leave them hungry for more.

Its completely possible to make money with no money, but you need a time investment.

Oftentimes you can make more money faster if you start with money though.

People need to realize that hard-work and dedication and overcome no money.

Sure its possible, but its a heck of a lot easier to make it if you already have it. Getting off the ground takes a lot of work. IMing takes far more effort and talent than most people realize.

As previously stated time and money are related, but anyone can enter the IM field with no money as long as they are prepared to learn what they can from various freebies and forums and apply that knowledge. People give up too soon these days, as they have been brainwashed into thinking that a magic push button formula actually exsists and they can't be a millionaire over night (I know, sucks doesn't it?).

What i would suggest to anyone starting on a shoestring, would be to utilise the web 2.0 properties, and start promoting and learn on the way. Squidoo is a tremendous outlet for newbies and they have several ways to monetize. Amazon affiliate earnings *wink wink*.

So, if you want to start with nothing, stop getting frustrated by learning everything, and take action. Once you are earning, learn some more, and re-invest.

Having money to invest does help and makes things quicker but by no means do you have to have money. There are plenty of free platforms that can allow you to make money.

Setup blogger -> Make Quality Posts -> Guest Post on Relevent Niche Blogs -> Comment on relevent blogs -> submit articles to article directories -> Make Free Press Releases -> Profit?

Once you start making money, reinvest it and make even more. People try to make IM more complicated than it really needs to be.

Create a killer product, and get someone with big ass list to promote you, this is free, and you can do this over and over again, and make ship loads of money.

Ok. So I have a Wordpress blog. Suppose I find people with similar interests, I manage to post maybe three times a week information about a certain domain. I get around 100 visitors a day according to the statistics. People usually comment on it. What is the next step? How do I make it profitable?

Reinvestment is king, if you feel you have earnt your money and reinvest it, you will work harder to make sure that your reinvestment works.

My easy tip to make money with no money is to start a service. This is by far the easiest way to make money.

Just list your contact details in your signature here and the service you are doing. Or start a few gigs on Fiverr.

Then post 10-20 threads here on the WF daily that are interesting and relevent and you will start to build up a client base.

Once you have made some profit invest in a thread in the Warriors for hire section or the WSO forum.

Putting all your time into developing a blogger blog is the worst advice ever.

You are investing your time into something you don't own and can be shut down without warning for any number of reasons.

If you are unwilling to part with some of your money to start your business, you are starting a hobby site, not a real business.

Invest your time AND money wisely into your business.

If you can spend a dollar for paid traffic and it returns you a lead that converts at $2 how many times would you do that?

I was on and off with IM but recently I have found my passion and am earning quite a living. Now to give some back to the forum. (I have only been reading what other have to say here -- low post count ftw)
