How to upload html files in host gator c panel?

Hello

Im i have created a sales template in microsoft web expression and im trying to upload it to my first website via host gator. So far i know i need to use the file manager in my c panel however i do not know exactly where to upload it to in order for it to show up on the sites because there is a bunch of folders with a bunch of files in them for ex when i open up file manager i have the following 4 options

Home Directory
Web Root
Public FTp
Document root for (www.mydomainshowsup.com)

Document root for is selected and within each of these are a bunch of folders titled

mail
public ftp
public html
tmp
www

Where do i have to insert my html file so when i type in my domain name it shows up. Thanks for the help in advance

    upload them into your public_html folder

    also make sure your home page is called index.html

    Thanks ukescuba that worked. Considering this is just going to be a 1 page presell page is there anything i can do to optimize it for seo manually? I know wordpress has the google site map plugin but is there anything else i can use to manually increase my seo without the plug in.
