Should I buy OptimizePress?

It's my first time actually offering a product/service online, and I want the sales page to look professional and convert.

But I really have no idea how to make one. As far as the writing goes, I'm confident I can pull it off - but in terms of page design and layout I really have no clue where to start.

OptimizePress seems pretty easy to use, and I do like the results. Any other alternatives you'd all recommend before I add another $97 to the credit card bill?

If you aren't good at creating a sales page that looks professional and convert, OptimizePress will not serve you any purpose.

If you aren't good, you aren't good. Not much more to it. You are better off finding someone else who is good at it to do it for you.

Yes and just because it easily produces a landing page, doesn't mean it will produce quality, converting landing pages.

You still have to know what you are doing to some degree to have the competitive edge.

Is it a good theme for general services? Rather than IM sales or 'make money' schemes?

We are currently targeting authors with our press release writing and distribution service - something that is usually done in a very business-like and professional way.

People like our multi-page site with it's pricing tables, testimonials page, blog etc.

Just wondering if it works for a regular business, one that wouldn't usually go for a squeeze page?

@JimMichael - No I'd avoid it in this situation. It's very much a long format sales page, set it and forget it solution.

I'm happy with OptimizePress.. It's a little tricky for the first while, but it's the core theme on my main sites.

    Hello my friend,

    Ask yourself the following questions...

    1. Have I read enough reviews to determine if
    OptimizePress will meet my needs?

    2. Does OptimizePress have the features I'm
    looking for?

    3. Would I like to utilize the blog portion
    of OptimizePress?

    4. Do I know enough about the shortcodes in
    OptimizePress?

    5. How flexible is OptimizePress for a beginner?

    6. How well does OptimizePress integrate with
    WordPress?

I encourage you to do your due diligence
    before making "any" purchase... Especially
    online.

    Kindly,
    Frank

I agree, if you are straight up going for squeeze / sales page format, it's the best solution I've found. Even though it's really simple, it can actually take a little while to get the page looking great. I'd put up your minimum viable product with a free WP theme and get your text 100% edited and finished before you put it into optimize press. Avoid editing on the fly, as a lot of little bugs and formatting concerns will drive you nuts and suck a lot of time. That's tough to do for web guys, but will save you tons of time with optimize press.

I use it all the time and love it. It takes all the hassle out of making things look perfect (which is the stuff I hate the most).

You will still need to know how to write some good sales copy to make it work though.
