Advice Needed! What to do with a new good short domain name?

Hi,

These days while searching for a name for my first forum for 3 whole days/ i know, a newbie craziness / i found a good 2 word 6 letter in total , internet related name. On top of it the 2 words go well together and actually can even be branded, so from my understanding this is a premium name and quite rare. I saw similar sell for more than zzzz, so i bought it right away with com, info, net, org.

So what to do with it?
i have an forum idea and it takes me my whole time and apart of this i am working so i can not spend time with it. And as i understand it can not be sold for 60 days.
Also to mention that i am not in a hurry selling fast for small profit.
From my understanding of English it could be perfect name for internet related blog, portal, etc. and the good thing is that can be branded / no TM live or dead, i checked/

So any advice what to do with it that will not require a real development and that will realistically raise its market price in an year/ not the funny price they want for such names/ will be greatly appreciated. I will also use this opportunity to learn some stuff doing it.

Any thoughts?

If you don't have the time to write content yourself, then one of the option is, post articles from UniqueArticleWizard (link at the page bottom). The articles are supposed to be human reviewed for quality.

You can have the articles posted on a sub-directory if you wish, and reserve the root directory for adding your own content when you have the time.

Something is better than nothing. At least this will keep the site active, in the eyes of search engines too.

That is good advice. You need to get a site of some type up on the name asap and indexed by google as quickly as you can if you want to maximise value for whatever site you eventually put up.

Develop it into an IM blog & private forum then flip it.... or you can also transform it into a squeeze page. :-)

It would help posting the domain...

Domaining is a slightly different world from Internet Marketing and your domain might be worth a lot less then you think.

When your leaving your domain undeveloped for the time being it could help adding it to sedo for potential interest from buyers.

      • It would help posting the domain...

        No kidding.

Aside from the fact that the name of the domain is going to be the primary determining factor in what you do with it, how many times have we seen these posts here?

Some guy comes in gloating about what a killer domain he scored -- can't tell us what it is, of course -- but if and when he finally coughs it up it turns out to be something like http://www.heycheckoutmywebsite.com.

People get a little nuts and disconnected from reality sometimes when they shop for domains. It's really easy to convince yourself you've got a winner -- just ask me, I've done it a dozen times at least. I actually owned heycheckoutmywebsite.com for a while, years ago.

While you decide what to do with it

Use it as root domain on a brand new hosting account.

Put a squeeze page on it and make a list (get some plr report or make one yourself to giveaway).

If the domain is short is perfect for cloaking using keyword base subdomains for affiliate offers the kind of http://yourkeyword.domain.com

Ok, maybe my English played me a joke, at the end is not my first language. But why you think is so bad?

    net is Internet and hum
    1. a low continuous murmuring sound
    2. (Electronics) Electronics an undesired low-frequency noise in the output of an amplifier or receiver, esp one caused by the power supply
    3. Austral slang a scrounger; cadger
    4. Brit and Irish slang an unpleasant odour
    interj & n

Ha, ha. I get it now. But i am neither Brit or Irish and in reality Internet stinks, so it shouldn't be so bad

And to remember U2 and "rattle and hum".
