Ever thought of turning your blog's home page into a squeeze page?

I am planning to turn my blog's home page into a squeeze page. Offer something irresistible and build my list. People visiting my posts directly from the search engines will optin via the optin box in sidebar or below the post. People visiting via word of mouth or from sig links, blog comments etc. can just opt in!

I got this idea from copyblogger.com - Brian has turned his home page into a lead gen page (not exactly a traditional squeeze page).

Product/Business idea: I do not know of any plugins which will change the home page into a squeeze page. But if there is a premium plugin which helps me create squeeze pages with pre made graphics and A/B split testing option integrated, I would gladly pay anywhere between $27-$47 for it. I am not talking about traditional squeeze page builders like optimize press. This plugin should just mod the home page of the blog.

Go for it. Sean mize was or is an advocate of this approach and I tend to agree

You could simply make a page on your blog to be used as a squeeze page, and make your home page, the squeeze page.

The reason I recommend you do it this way is because you can still list your posts and archives in the sidebar... While still having a lead, squeeze page where you can get there information.

The way I would do it would be to just make a page a squeeze page and then make that page static. Then I could keep my sidebar with other posts, etc.
